Jade Dragon Tattoo and Body Piercing

My tatoo artist Tommy has the same vision I do and just adds his personal touch.The whole staff is awesome to talk to and make you feel welcome. I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have my business for life.

Got a tattoo done here years ago guy did my tattoo so bad had to get it laser off there fault for hiring him and my fault not checking out his work before we started

I got my navel pierced here over the weekend. Loved the shop and the people were very nice, however, I realized after looking at my piercing when I got home and took off the bandage that it was pierced too high and now it looks kind of weird and out of place. I’m going to have to take it out and get it re-pierced which is pretty upsetting.

my best friend and i decided very impulsively to get tattoos and we called a place we had never been - jade dragon 2 hours before close and they were willing to not only take us as walk ins but stayed open atleast 20-30 mins past closing time for us like they literally left when we were done with our tattoos , it was soooo appreciated. tommy was the artist , and the line work on the forearm scripture tattoos we got is just wonderful and so clean and clear . everyone there was so so nice and it was so nice to talk to them! this tattoo is also healing beautifully. cant wait to come back for my next one! so awesome edit - came back today for my next tattoo done by jake - it came out absolutely amazing so badass and everyone in the shop once again was so friendly and wonderful to be around , jake even took it upon himself to grab me a brownie and water when i started to get hot and lightheaded. i wish google would let me add another review because this place & the people there deserve it! cant wait to come back here again! love it

Went in with some friends as walk ins for some tattoos. The place was clean and the staff was incredible. Tattoos turned out perfect as well. Will be back in the future for more tattoos

Workers are rude. I ended up walking out and not getting anything, will not return & do not recommend

got a second tattoo for my birthday no waiting. it looks perfect. I believe it was Ryan who did my tattoo fantastic job

I came for the Friday the 13th sale with the goal of getting three helixes on one ear. These would've been my fourth through sixth piercing so I was gung ho. Their piercer Joe is a SAINT. He's a great piercer and good guy with his clients. I'm typically one who prefers a female piercer but Joe made me feel SO safe and comfortable, told me his concerns AND talked me out of doing three on one ear at once. It's REALLY hard to talk me out of stupid decisions and Joe did! We then decided to do two on each ear, but after the first two I decided I'd rather wait and do them gradually. He's there most evenings and is a great piercer who makes sure you're not doing something stupid.

Came in for the Friday the 13th special and waited in line, and we kept wondering where the special tattoos were. We were totally ignored and the gave the binder to the people behind us loll. Then told us they weren’t excepting anymore AFTER we were the ones who asked AGAIN.

Tattoo artist was very impatient. I was getting a little frustrated that the traced photo didn’t appear to match the photo, but he kept telling me to trust him and at one point said “do you think this is my first time doing a tattoo?” once i was finally confident with the positioning and everything, it still came out pretty bad. The lines are super wiggly/way thicker than i imagined. Original photo and actual tattoo attached. Overall really upset. The other artists might be great but just trust your gut before letting someone ink you!!

Best tattoo work in Chicago. 3 generations of my family have been going here now. My mother got all of her work done here. Got my 1st two from here almost 30 years ago (and they still look great) and my daughter has all of her piercings done here. And in a few months when she is of age, guess where she will be going to get her 1st tattoo done. Shop has built up a great reputation over the years and I'm glad they continue to keep it. Clean, friendly, and professional. Definitely the top shop in Chicago. Update from 12/31/22, daughter got a new tattoo from Tommy. He’s not just a great artist but is also very personable. He will also make you feel comfortable. Thanks Tommy.

I've had two tattoos done here and I've had good experiences both times. It's very clean and the artists are very friendly. They're also consultative about the size and location of your tattoo idea if it's not one of their stock images. The prices are about the same as other reputable parlors...and (apropos of nothing to do with Jade Dragon) DON'T SKIMP ON A TATTOO. it's going on your body forever!

I have been coming here for years to see Matt, despite no longer living near Chicago. I recently had a piece done by Chopps that turned out great. Very professional and great people in here!

Weren’t even open when they said they would be. I hate businesses that play with your time. Wont ever be going back.

They have a very good customer service. The tattoo artist is very helpful when giving tattoo ideas.

As of yesterday I have 19 tattoos, all beautifully done by Ryan. My birthday gift to me every year is a tattoo. I really lucked out the day I walked into Jade Dragon & Ryan happened to be available. His area very clean. Whatever he will be using for my tattoo is brand new. He disenfects the entire space he will be using & covers his tools & all surfaces & with fresh plastic cling wrap & of course wears disposal surgical gloves. He is very kind, easy going & extremely willing to work with you so the tattoo you walk out with is a piece of art that makes you happy. He's an artist, his work is absolutely beautiful! Ryan is the only person I will ever let tattoo me!

By far the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been to great prices & amazing shop from what it looks like inside to the artist in that shop. I got my second tattoo today from TOMMY & he is an amazing artist I am very satisfied with both of the tattoos he has done for me. I’m recommending this shop to all of my friends because this place is the place to go!
