Proton Tattoo

I got a tattoo done by grant. I'm am absolutely in love with it. The color is amazing 😍 and I love the shading also. Plus he was very gentle while doing the tattoo. The pain was tolerable and not as bad as I thought it would be. 10/10 recommend the shop and him as a artist. Everyone is super friendly and professional

Evelyn was able to replicate, I'd say exact replica, of a signature I had on a CD. It was for an artist that I have followed for a long time, so it meant alot that it was so precise and clean. She even gave it a "sharpie" look. She was very kind, professional, and was an excellent choice. I've seen her do other work from the shop, and on people I know; she's always great and the tattoos are always super high quality. Most definitely recommend. + Very clean environment 👌

Took my son here to get snake bites and Mike was the piercer. He had a lot of good info and is a straight shooter with his info for you so do yourself and him a favor and listen. The new shop looks amazing and spotless. Will be back!

I had powder brows done by Evie the other day and she was AMAZING. Not only do my eyebrows look perfect, but I didn’t feel a thing. I have gotten so many compliments and definitely recommend her. She took the time to make sure that every little detail was perfect.

Got my first tattoo there, done by Evelyn and it was awesome kinda nervous but she was so kind and nice I felt at ease, definitely will be going back for more from her

I’ve gotten all 8 of my tattoos done here (by Aaron and April) and 2 of my piercings and I love all of the work! The atmosphere is great and everything is clean and professional, will definitely get more here in the future.

I love Proton! I trusted them 11 years ago with my first tattoo. They were super nice and made me feel comfortable from finding and working with an artist to getting the actual tattoo. When I worked at the DeKalb Library, Chris was awesome enough to partner with us at our annual Star Wars event several years in a row by making and applying custom designed temporary tattoos for kids, teens, and adults! He was great to work with and I received many compliments on using a real tattoo artist for what would have otherwise been a lackluster station at the event. Highly recommended!

I got my favorite tattoo at Proton(Medusa by Chris May), and have been back a few times for some smaller pieces and piercings. Wonderful experience every time! Cannot recommend them enough.

Had a great experience as a walk in with Dustin. Got there right as they opened and was able to get in for my tattoo very quickly. Very happy with the work done. And my daughter loves that her name is on my arm now with her favorite flower.

Aside from laughing my way through almost all of my tattoos from Proton (since every artist there is incredibly social with a great sense of humor) I have never been more proud of the killer artwork I leave with! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, honestly!

Everyone in the shop is great. I got my first professional tattoo there and had a great experience as a walk in and was tattooed immediately. April is my favorite. she remembers you and checks up on your work the next time you come in. she also knows just how to get my image right exactly every time! i’ve gotten my nose piercing and had a great experience with Mike Gear as well. he did my placement great and pierced with good quality jewelry that i still like to use sometimes. everything has healed very well with instructions from each artist.

Amazing atmosphere when you walk in. Jon has done almost all my traditional tattoos over the years and look forward to more to come. After 15years they are still holding up amazing with excellent color

Great group! Professional, fun, and honest! I got a custom designed cover up of what I wanted! Chris May listened to me and created something in my vision with his creative flair...worth the wait to get in!

Chris May did my half sleeve a number of years ago and it still looks as vibrant as ever (I often get stopped on the street by people asking where I got it done). He took my requests, and made it into a wearable work of art which I cherish. I'll keep coming back for more.

I received my most favorite tattoo from Proton's, a gorgeous fairy on a flower on the outside of my calf, in black ink. Jon was my artist, and his work was excellent, perfect clean lines and shading, I receive complements all the time. It's quite a few years old now but looks just as fresh as when I first got it. While there I got to watch several other talented artists working. Highly recommend this shop. It has a great atmosphere as well. I was very comfortable.

Got both my daith piercings done here a few months apart and they’re perfect! Mike is the best! He was super easy to talk to and highly experienced. Patiently answered all my questions and never tried to up-sell me.

Proton was the second shop I received a tattoo at, and I loved them so much I continued travelling back to them after I moved out of state. Their work has set the standard for what I look for in shops and artists. I still regularly get compliments on work that Chris did over 15 years ago, so their work stands the test of time.

I have been collecting art from the crew at Proton for almost 14 years now, and I am always blown away by their professionalism, skill, and general radness. Their facility is super welcoming, clean, and just a fun place to be. I've had a great tattoo experience there every time.

It has been 9 years since I was tatted here! The atmosphere has always left an impression and I will always go back for more!! My tats still look a week old all this time later. 🤩 highly recommend!
