NOLA holds a very special place in my heart and this trip decided to have it memorialized with a tattoo. I did my research before hand and decided that the oldest tattoo palour in New Orleans was going to be the place. Sadly they are closing as of September 5th, but I'm so glad I got in there and got tattooed by Franky Sharps.

Loved this place! We were greeted warmly and the people were very friendly! The guest artist, Shane, was amazing! We were in town for my daughter's 18th birthday and needed 3 small finger tattoos. He is a talented tattoo artist, as well as, charming, and a decent singing voice too! He is truly our favorite person in NOLA! My daughter also had 2 piercings done by Kate. She was thorough and patiently answered all of my daughter's questions. She was great. Thank you for memories of NOLA that we will always have!

Didn’t get a chance to receive a tattoo… My friends and I were met with a very rude young blonde women at the door. She condescendingly explained the minimum charge without letting us in the door and when we decided to not come in she literally told us “sayonara”.. I’ve never experienced this type of service before not sure if the young women was having a bad day, but regardless there is a way to talk to people and that is not it. I don’t recommend anyone spend their money here…

The tattoo artists barely crack opened the door and barely explained their minimum prices. Her attitude was dismissive and non informative. There were 5 of us and we weren’t even welcomed into the store. It’s unfortunate she is turning down business even if she was the owner. This was the only bad experience we have had in our week long New Orleans trip.

I got a watercolor cypress tree that my artist, Cueves, free hand drew on my arm. I called to get an appointment for the following week and they got me in the same day, which was awesome! I really enjoyed meeting her and talking to her. It's a cash only business, but they do have an ATM on site that charges a small fee. They also threw in a free shirt, so that was a bonus. I've struggled getting ahold of them since to schedule more appointments, but that may be pandemic related? I'll keep trying.

This place has had a home in my heart for over 15 years. My original piecer BooBi has left for ATL years ago however I still send friends and those alike here for piercing / tattoos. My only red flag, is this place doesn’t feel / look as clean as it should especially during COVID. The piercing jewelry options all look / are cheap. But if it’s trying to maintain the original tattoo shop it’s definitely nailing it. On street parking. Tattoo area, Handicap accessible. Cash only. ATM on site
