I met the owner Steve back in his old studio. I waited 6 months to get my ink done and was totally worth it. He is the best tattoo artist and person I ever met. And his associates are as good. I got other ink done with Kurtis and I must say, I have never got a better tattoo experience than what was provided me here. Greate environment, professional creative artists. They actually create from scratch. If you want to get a tattoo done, look no further!

I had such a great experience at Stone the Crow. Steve did my tattoo over 4 sessions. Having an artist that is easy to talk to is important to me. Steve was very professional, yet easy to relate to. He made me feel comfortable each time and made the time pass quickly with great conversation. He is also a very talented artist. The colors he uses are vibrant. In fact, his ability to tattoo with vibrant color is the reason I chose him after having done research on other artists at other shops. Oh.. and I forgot to mention that my tattoo was a cover up. You can't even tell there used to be another tattoo there! The shop is very clean. Everything is sanitized immediately after use. The ink is organic and safe. The atmosphere is inviting and laid back. What I really liked is that there is enjoyable music played throughout the shop, not blaring head banging or hard rap like I have heard at other shops, which always would set me on edge. I felt calm the entire time. The artists have a good rapport with each other and they are always joking around with each other. That makes the environment feel friendly and open also. There is a lot of really cool art on the walls to look at. There is even a pool table in the middle of the waiting area! The front desk staff is friendly and professional too. I recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a tattoo. All of the artists are good! I am just biased towards Steve because of the amazing job he did for me. My tattoo is below. Thank you , Steve!

I got a fine line calligraphy tattoo with Livia and love it!

Went in for a redo of a poorly done tattoo. Megan was super friendly and helpful (explained to me things I should have been told by the prior place before the original tattoo). Celide corrected my finger tattoo, explained how to care for it, and truly gave a personal experience of care. Steve (owner) oversaw it all and was well-informed, funny, and helpful.

STC is hands down the best place to get tattooed if you want a professional studio with absolutely stellar custom design artists and meticulous attention to detail during the entire process. Steve Labofish is highly skilled and extremely talented. He brought my Neo-Trad Japanese sleeve to life while exceeding my expectations every step of the way. Highly recommended!

My wife got her first ink ever done here and they were 100% on top of their game. This place is clean to an almost surgical level. Everyone is super friendly. Danny did a great job making my wife really comfortable for her first tattoo and his work is absolutely amazing.

I decided a few months ago to get a tattoo of my wife's name on my inner bicep. This was my first tattoo and I'm extremely particular and detail oriented. I looked around for two months at various shops and tattoo artists instagram profiles to choose who I would go with. I was recommended to Stone the Crow from a coworker and loved Livia's work. She was happy to meet with me before hand to go over exactly what I wanted. The day of my appointment, she readily made several adjustments to the design. She made the whole experience super chill and was incredibly pleasant to work with. Aside from her being great at her customer service, her work was awesome. Her lines are unbelievably clean. The curved edges and lines are perfect. I was terrified that I would be left with something I was unahppy with when I first went into the process. She exceeded my expectations and I will absolutely go back to her if I decided to get more ink done in the future. I'd recommend the shop and Livia to anyone looking for an artist.

My niece had been asking for a tattoo for the past year. I told her that if she did the research about the tattoo artists in the area and went and did a consultation with them, it would be OK with me. So she met Steve at Stone the Crow! Went through the consultation and then scheduled her appointment! I took her to her appointment! It's conveniently located in Rockville off East Gude on the back side of the shopping center. Plenty of parking. Inside the shop is open and well lit! There's a seating area with a pool table. In the area with the artists, each has their own space. Although open, they can provide a little bit of privacy with some curtains. Everything was so clean and organized! Steve did my niece's tattoo! It didn't take long but the detail and shading work is great! She's happy with her first tattoo and is already planning her next! I'll be going back to get my own redone.

Scheduled a simple memorial tattoo with Eric, he scheduled us quickly for 3 weeks after our design meeting. The place is pristine, very clean and people are friendly. Eric did a great job with our matching tattoo. We will definitely come back.

Livia and entire staff was wonderful! Not my first tattoo, but first in the area. I found my place! Staff is quick to respond, place is clean and comfortable, Livia did an amazing job, very light touch, makes everything comfortable and wonderful job!

Went to see Danny for my 5th tattoo (had 3 done by him prior), Danny always gets 5 stars for incorporating cool elements into his designs and being a chill guy in general, seriously, check out his portfolio if you're even remotely interested in American Traditional. The studio itself is CLEAN, well-appointed, and has an open-air design for those of you who don't like the feel of being tattooed in a broom closet (privacy curtains are there for tattoos that require them). Everyone I met was friendly and I would recommend STC in a heartbeat. Just don't make the mistake I did and circle past it twice in the parking lot, it's underneath the Dunkin and there is ample parking in front.

Got a large tattoo done by Danny. The entire process was smooth end to end from consult to the two sessions. Shop was perfectly clean and gave me exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend!
