Best piercing experience I’ve ever had! Grey and the staff were extremely welcoming, kind, sanitary, and patient. I was particularly concerned with the placement of my piercing and had a lot of questions. Grey talked me through all of my options and explained every step of the process before it happened. Everyone there is a true pro. I’d recommend Chameleon to anyone!

Owen is such a superstar that I had to leave a review even though I rarely do. So kind, helped me with a "problem piercing" I had gotten with another piercer, and answered my million questions with ease. He's a stand-up guy and amazing professional who's helped me with multiple issues over the years! Thank you all for being such a great spot

When I first walked in I was greeted bye the receptionist who was very friendly. I chose my earings and then the person who was doing the piercing, in my case Owen, Told me to come in. I was nervous but he was very nice and had a good vibe. he was all about consent and made sure I was prepared for anything he did, how much it hurt, what he was about to do etc... The actual piercing of the ear was very quick and almost painless. After that, he made sure I knew how to take care of them for the following months. Would go again.

I just had the worst experience here. I went to the shop inquire about a tattoo and if it was eligible for a walk in appointment. When I arrived the micro aggression that I received was ridiculous. The receptionist barely greeted me and would only talk to me through the cracked door with his arms folded. Every question I asked him was given a swift response of we don’t do the type of tattoos you want here maybe try a “street shop”. He then switched his response to my questions to “it’s up to the artist discretion”. When I asked was it possible to speak to an artist I was told no one had time to speak with me although I saw multiple artist not serving clients at the moment. It’s is very disheartening to receive this type of treatment especially being a black woman living in the suburbs of Boston. If you are a Black person avoid this place.

i was incredibly overcharged for a simple titanium piece of body jewelry, and given the wrong gauge/type of jewelry on top of that. Honestly at this point it’s my fault for even buying the piece. Insanely upset after going home and trying to put it in. It’s just super weird that these “professionals” messed up that bad with such a simple purchase
The creme dê la creme!
The best! From organization, to customer service, skill sets, environment and hygiene I recommend this place to anyone that takes themselves serious. "Your body is your temple"

The experience at Chameleon is phenomenal. I went to Lucky’s tattoo and piercing (Cambridge) and walked out annoyed with nothing done and lost $35 with them because I came in 10mins late and didn't even at least giving me a consultation for what I needed after waiting for 2 weeks appointment in advance and said I have to buy their jewelry otherwise they dont do piercing for me.
I searched for nearby piercing and found Chameleon. The front dest-charming man answered all my questions and let me come in for a consultation with James without obligation because I already have my own special jewelry that’s the reason I wanted to get ear pierced. James was super nice. He looked at my jewelry and gave me a consultation how to place it nicely and comfortably on my ear then I said right away let’s do it. I still had to buy jewelry for the first time cartilage piercing and wait till it heals then I can switch to my own jewelry but I’m totally happy to pay because I was listened and provided the service that I needed.
The staffs here really exceeded my expectation.

The first time I went to chameleon was to get my ears pierced. I subsequently did that again a few years later. Since then I’ve been tatted there at least three times and introduced several of my friends here. I guess that tells you everything u need to know about this place. Super clean and professional and they made me feel comfortable every time I visited between 2015-2019. Sucks to hear that the building will be going soon but I hope they find a new place because they are super dope.

I never write reviews for places, but this place went above and beyond! I was pretty nervous to get another tattoo since the last time I got one, I almost passed out, but from the minute I stepped inside and filled out a walk-in form with the guy at the front (Ovie was his name, not sure if that's how you spell it! He was super kind), my anxiety went way down. Dee did my tattoo, and not only was the draw-up of it beautiful and the final result cool as hell, her tattooing was so gentle that I literally could have fallen asleep. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount of work that Dee put into it and I am SO glad I came here! The shop itself is extremely clean and cosy. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure.

Ear piercing for 13 year old who was nervous. While the person who did the piercing was very kind, he talked for so long that she actually became more and more anxious. It was painful and they charge a fortune. I know they are anti- Claire's but I think that would have been a better choice for us.

After the 14th time being told, when I get my daughter's ears RE-pierced, I need to see Owen. (There was a prior Claire's failure on 1 of two ears.) We were not dissapointed; this was fast, easy, accurate and as a bonus I didn't need to cringe at the "sterile" technique employed. Will never see anyone else for future juvenile ear piercings, especially since they are moving even closer. Soon to be True Love Body Piercing of Watertown!

I had my nipples pierced by James and he was so, so, so kind and professional. The other two employees (I forget their names, apologies) were also very nice! I think everyone could tell I was nervous about these piercings and they made a clear effort to talk to me, make me comfortable, and reassure me that if I ever needed anything in the future/had any questions, they'd be happy to help. Such great people, a clean, professional environment, and I love my new piercings! Thank you! <3
amazing work! got mine done by James and everyone including the front desk girls who welcomed us and assisted in picking out jewelry were very warm, welcoming, and professional. i never felt intimidated or unwelcomed. i was pretty impressed with the hygiene and PPE practice and appreciated the mask wearing. James was super knowledgeable about the piercing process and was quick to pierce my ears which was probably my favorite part ! id definitely go back here if i want anything else done - the staff, warm (and super clean!!!!) environment, and jewelry selection is impeccable.
process and pricing:
i made an appointment via phone call, and was charged (via phone) $36 for the piercing and $10 fee that could go towards tipping the artist or towards the price of the jewelry. after i showed up and got my piercing, i got charged $78 for the jewelry pair that supported my piercing (all options given for lobe piercings are stunning circular studs). if you want to give an additional tip there are venmo QR codes for the artist who pierced you or you can also do cash.
hand hygiene, sterilization, gloves were used throughout. James cleaned my ears w antiseptic, marked my ears after measuring them and then changed into a new pair of gloves before piercing my ear. i was dumb and touched my earlobe after he cleaned it so just dont do that ... book your appointment - u wont regret!

I had my ears pierced by James. He was extremely kind and professional. He answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. It was quite an enjoyable appointment. Everyone there was very pleasant and everything from a hygiene perspective was great! I have nothing but good things to say.

The artists are awesome (5 stars). The front facing website customer intake form and organizational email are completely unresponsive. But once you get through to artist - first class.

I really liked Chameleon pre-Covid, and I have had excellent experiences with piercers themselves, but the unprofessional and unkind manner of the front desk staff (on multiple occasions) will make me stop going to Chameleon. I arrived a few minutes early, but apparently not early enough, once, to be told I was not on time. I asked specifically beforehand if I should arrive early, and since it was just a piercing post getting shortened, was told no. I work in customer service and understand the exhaustion all workers workers face, but they were blatantly hurtful.
