Generation One Tattoo, Plymouth

I got a hand and chest tattoo done here years ago Erica and the nice person who was working the front desk were extremely nice… I was going through a rough period in my life at the time and I could just tell they genuinely care about people. She drew up an awesome tattoo for me and it’s one of my favorites to this day. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

I wish I could leave Erica 10 stars. She is a true artist. I enjoyed every minute i spent with her in her shop. Her work is absolutely amazing, my tattoo came out 100x better than the photo I had showed her. Please look no further as Erica is the absolute best. I will never go anywhere else. Truly talented. Thank you again Erica!

Erica is an excellent tattoo artist who clearly has a lot of experience. However, despite leaving with an excellent tattoo, I believe I was extremely overcharged. I am not one to complain, I have multiple tattoos and would much rather pay a premium for quality. The shop was extremely clean and comfortable, including a tv and very comfy chair!! However, the strangest way to pay for a tattoo: I told her the highest I was willing to pay for my tattoo idea, with no basis on hourly or normal rate for her art, and was shot down. I thought I insulted her! But it was the only money I had saved, and it was not discussed until I walked in the day of the appointment. We managed to compromise, but again I definitely paid more than twice I’ve ever paid for a tattoo. Also, she was very intense about the healing procedure. She INSISTED on using Tegaderm/Saniderm when usually, especially as someone who already has multiple tattoos, I have a choice. She said, “other peoples tattoos you can heal however you want. But clearly, that one (gesturing to another tattoo) you didn’t heal right and it’s all faded”. I was insulted to be honest…Again, you get what you pay for when you get a tattoo and I certainly left with an excellent tattoo, so if you have the money, go for it.

Very professional and wonderfully casual. The whole experience was a collaboration, all of my wants for the tattoo were discussed and a wonderful design was created. As for the final product, I see it everyday and I still absolutely love it!!!!

Incredible work and incredible tattoos! The shop is super cozy and welcoming, and Erica has great ideas and advice to share. Would recommend for large and/or detailed work!

I had a very good experience. The shop was super clean. I was looking for the fine line work and Erica was great at it. The set up to watch tv made it easier to lay in a strange position for a while. Also, this tattoo was kind of a celebration for me of moving on in life from divorce (I had my married name when I got the tattoo) and I loved Erica’s celebration of that. Any fine line work tattoos I’d go to her.

Erica is wonderful. Honest artist who isnt there just to slap a tat on you and send you on your way. She will take time to discuss the small nuances of your tattoo to ensure it ages and heals gracefully. Comfortable shop interior as well. Overall a 12/10 experience.

I just got my most recent tattoo here with Erica, and would highly recommend! She made the process super easy, was very detailed in explaining everything, and made sure the entire tattoo went smoothly. Also, when she says she tattoos quick, she is not exaggerating. I was done with my tattoo within an hour, and it came out amazing!

You won't regret this decision!!

Erica is absolutely phenomenal! She is so passionate with her artwork and I am able to go to her with an idea in my head and she makes it come to life. She is also incredibly fast, yet still so detailed.

I can’t recommend generation one enough. Erica is such a talented artist and she was able to take an old, dated tattoo that I didn’t like and turned it into something I love. She has really creative ideas and is super nice and easy to work with. The environment is very chill, comfortable and extremely clean. 10/10 !

We contacted the shop ahead of our vacation to see about booking for 6 people, the shop replied back that they were not open on Mondays but would be happy to open the shop up for our group. We had reviewed shops all across the Cape and this was our first choice. We were so impressed! Very clean, very efficient. We talked with Erica about we wanted and she made it happen. She is very knowledgeable about what will work where. The shop is spotless and the atmosphere was great. We all walked out totally in love with our new ink. We couldn't be happier taking a little piece of the Cape home with us. Highly recommended!

I was so impressed with Erickas work I just had to get my first tattoo from her. She is so kind and really wants the best for her clients. I was comfortable and the place was clean. Her work was fast but precise and well done. Not to mention the prices are quite affordable. Im going here for my next tattoo because at gen one you get the best of both worlds: quality and comfort.
