Cal is always on point with all of his work. Literally has done 75 percent of the work on my body, every bit of his work is absolutely amazing!! If you need any work done I would highly recommend Phoenix Rising 💪💪

Great service and knowledgeable staff. They fit us in last minute for a great birthday gift. My kid's ear piercings went fast and easy with no complications and great conversation. Affordable price was a bonus. Thanks again!

Very friendly and professional and do fantastic cover ups. There is a waiting list but it's well worth it and speaks volumes on how popular they are.

My initial review was sugar coated. This place is absolute trash in terms of professionalism, skill, and overall everything when it comes to what you want at a good shop. 100% recommend the drive to Grand Rapids or even traverse city if it means you will AVOID this place.

Just wanna give a huge shot out to James Christan he gave my daughter her 1'st tattoo he was an amazing artist & went above & beyond to make her as comfortable as possible , also tried to continuously talk to her so she would be more focused on the conversation. She had a tattoo with her sisters ashes even though he said he had never done it he figured it out & it looks amazing would highly recomebd this shop

I've gotten alot of tattoos from Sierra now and she always does an amazing job. The studio is a fun place to hang put and all the artists make you feel welcome.

They are super nice and understanding. Cal was my artist and was very easy going. Patient with my requests and made the whole experience as painless as possible. Both times was a great experience all-around and I love both of my tattoos. I will be booking more appointments with them. I know they offer piercings I just don't know the extent.

My daughter and I went in to get matching Mother and Daughter tattoo. We showed Blake a picture of what we wanted and he did an awesome job! We love them! My first tattoo, and he was so great. Highly recommend!.

We've been going here for years. Every time we go home on vacation we usually get some tats and we've been getting them at Phoenix Rising. We had Blake as our artist this time and had Zane before. Both did great. We each got the appeal to heaven flag tat and my wife also got the stars which if you know where they came from bonus points to you. They are an obscure reference to something that is extremely popular. Prices here are good and the tattoos went pretty quickly but they are quite basic as well. Obviously more detailed tats will take longer. The only gripe I have, and have had, with the place is their customer service leaves a bit to be desired. When you go in the shop you sometimes stand around for quite a while or even just leave because no one attends to you. I guess facebook is a good way to get in-touch with them and they were answering the phone pretty well while we were there so that's something. Unless you're getting something that's quick don't try to do walk in. Set up an appointment with your preferred artist, if you have one, or any of them who are available. I would say it's safe to assume they're all pretty darn good so you don't really have to worry about them messing up your tattoo as long as you clearly explain what you want and work with them to make it how you want it.

I’ve had multiple tattoos and a septum piercing done here. I’ve been happy with all my results and everything healed well. Would 10/10 recommend Cal, the owner. The shop is busy so don’t expect to get in with him right away but I’m not sure about the other artists schedules. They might have started a walk in thing recently to help with getting people in but I’m not sure.

Was very disappointed with my experience or lack of. I went in to get a piercing and waited there for 10 to 15 minutes without any acknowledgment. There was two people appeared to be waiting, so inquired if they have been helped and was told that she was the girlfriend of the artist. She never spoke or got up to inform him that there was people waiting. Also tried calling to make an appointment and there’s no voicemail. Only getting the two stars because the two gentlemen the day prior we’re informative and helpful!

Best tattoo shop around, I can’t say enough good things about this place! All of the artists are extremely talented. I had the pleasure of getting Blake as my artist and the tattoo healed just as perfect as it looked the day it was done!

I just got my first tattoo here today, and it turned out amazing. I came in as a walk-in, so I did have to wait awhile, but that's was perfectly fine with me. I would recommend this place to anyone! Cal did my tattoo and I thought he was nice, funny, and professional. I am so happy on how it turned out.
