I went in to get a personalized idea of what I want to have done. They told me to go online to get an idea... What?? Seriously? And after 6 months of this review being posted... they rewrote my review to make it different from what I feel... thanks Google for being honest

I've gotten tattoos from both Arnie and Brandon, and they're both super cool guys and do an awesome job.

I got my tattoo from Brandon today and he did a really good job I am very pleased

I had the most amazing experience here today! Earlier today I messaged them on Facebook asking when their soonest appointment would be for a memorial tattoo of my cat who my partner and I had to recently put down. It was a small piece but means so much to me! He texted me back saying I could come in today at 5:30! He stayed later than his scheduled appointments to do this beautiful thing for me. He captured it absolutely perfectly and he was so awesome! We talked a lot about me and my partner pets and about his past pitbull and just a bit of random stuff! It was so fun! His shop is so beautiful and has so much fun stuff to look at! I highly highly recommend one life! Beautiful work and amazing owner/staff! Thank you again so much Branden! His little nose print will be with me forever now!

I think Chris did a wonderful job !!. He was very nice and we were immediately at ease. This was both my daughter and my first Tattoo and it was a great experience!!

Branden is absolutely amazing! Words can not describe how happy I am with his work. He is a dedicated and caring person. I highly recommend him to anyone! I would not even waste your time reading any negative reviews on here, an individual must not be right in the head to say his work isn’t amazing! Thanks Branden, you’re awesome!

I am truly heartbroken and disappointed with my overall experience with Branden. I put my trust, faith and hard earned money into having a sleeve tattooed only to be left with a mess to figure out. My sleeve is poorly done with sloppy shading, color not followed through throughout the sleeve and no work done on cover up area. Branden holds himself at a high standard when it comes to his expertise. However, after 10 or more 2 hour sessions I am left with a poorly done tattoo sleeve. I provided Branden with many pictures and ideas for sleeve which he did not follow at all. Branden did not follow through on providing intricate work for the amount of money he charges hourly. Often he would only actually tattoo for a little over an hour yet charging for two hours. He would continue to leave areas unfinished which would require another session. It is neverending. I feel that Branden took advantage of me, stretched process out so he could make more money. I sold many things to afford this venture and all I have to show for it is a sleeve that is poorly done, not completed and am embarrassed to show anyone. When I approached Branden about my concerns- they were met with unprofessional behavior/remarks. I would not recommend having Branden work on you unless you are rich and don't mind blowing a lot of money for work that is mediocre at most. This has been an awful experience and am amazed that he stays in business treating customers in this manner. Also, I have written reviews previously but they seem to disappear somehow? BEWARE This is the results I am stuck with after 10+ 2 hour sessions

Comfortable spacing, and fantastic artist like Chris Norden working there. 10/10 recommend, and here is a pic of my most recent work done!

Brandon is an awesome guy, and a awesome Tattooist!! I will recommend everyone to come here for a tattoo!!

Arnie is absolutely wonderful! He did an awesome job on my tattoo and he was so friendly! He made sure to take his time and put a lot of effort into it. I will definitely be coming back for more. I almost forgot, they even offered me banana bread!

One life is the bomb! Very friendly and they make you feel comfortable and at home so your tattoo experience is the very best it can be! Arnie and Brandon are very talented and very affordable as well. I will 100% recommend them to anybody that is looking for a tattoo!

I had Branden do a large mandala on my right upper arm around 3 years ago, I was anxious because I knew I would be sitting for longer than an hour and honestly what do you talk to another person about for that long that you don’t know. Branden made this whole process so smooth and basically as painless as it could be.. what started out as a 2 hour block turned into 4, and we didn’t stop talking the whole time, plus needless to say I get compliments still all the time on my tattoo. This is why Branden is the best tattoo shop in Brainerd, it’s not just about how many tattoos that he can shove into a day it’s about the art and the experience for the person.

This place isn't just a tattoo shop. It's an artist's studio with soul and compassion. Over the past 12 years, I've had 6 tattoos done here. I love every one of them. What I love even more is the patience and precision every single one received. One of the projects was my son's handprint, taken the day he died. Another piece was done after my father died. There are no words to express my deep appreciation for the sensitivity and care I received during every, single visit. Thank you for taking the time to really see me in the works of art you've created.

Saw Branden last year for a couple simple tats. Saw CM many years ago for a bigger one. Both experiences too notch. The highest level of professionalism! Very warm & welcoming. Brsnden even went so far as to tailor his playlist to our taste! Wonderful experience start to finish. Very clean, funky & welcoming shop. I recommend to everybody!

My dad knows Branden and spoke very highly of him not only as a tattoo artist but as a person. Upon meeting him for my first tattoo he immediately was able to make conversation with me. I could tell he loved what he does. I have a love for Minnesota, as I grew up an outdoorsman. So what better than to mix my passion for hunting, fishing and our great home into a tattoo. Once he showed me his drawing I knew right away it was exactly what I had envisioned. The whole session he was making sure I was comfortable. He took time in his work and put passion into his art which made me love my tattoo even more knowing he was just as excited as me to see the end product! Once he was done and I got to see the tattoo, I was amazed at how sharp the line work was and how perfectly it matched my envision of what the tattoo would be. Here’s to Branden and One Life Tattoo for giving me a piece of artwork that combines all my passions and love for the Great North. You got One life, so don’t waste your time and go to Branden.

Branden is absolutely wonderful at his job and a great guy to work with. I've gotten 3 tattoos from him and can be hard to schedule with but he explains everything and makes sure you understand. I'm am grateful I've gotten all my tattoos from him.There unbelievably friendly and talented and the only place you should go for a tattoo. they are very patient. Best guys ever! Worth it. Very clean!!!

I got my first 3 tattoos done at One Life when I lived in Brainerd. The shop is so quaint and comfortable, I felt safe in it. And, when I was 18 getting my first tattoo, that was a big deal to me. It’s pretty apparent to me why they have been voted Best Tattoo shop now twice! One Life is great!
