The Aloha Monkey Tattoo

When I first came there, I was so nervous. I was called into the room, and the young lady who pierced my nose, made me so comfortable. The nose piercing wasn’t as bad as I thought after the young lady had calmed me down. Yes, I would definitely go there again.

Clean, friendly, easy to work with. I’ve gotten most of my piercing work done here. Prices seems a bit high on jewelry but it’s worth it for the selection they have.

This place was overpriced and the person who did my friend and I's peircings didn't provide us any good information on caring for piercings. The person told us that the top row of piercings in the display box ranged from $30 to $60, so I chose one of the smallest ones in that row. She told me the earrings would be $60 and I agreed, assuming they were worth $30 each. No, they charged me $60 each for earrings that I would wager cost around $10 on Amazon. For reference, I could buy real pearl earrings in a sterling silver setting for what they charged me for these earrings. And then it was a $60 piercing charge on top of that! So all in all, I paid $190 (with tax) for 2 ear piercings (1 in each ear). The woman who did our piercings was, frankly, kind of rude and told us the only care we needed to do was wash them with soap and water, insisting that "you can just do it when you're in the shower". No instructions on what to do if it bled, or any sort of cleaning solution. Even Claire's gives you cleaning solution and tells you to rotate them occasionally. Thanks to the lack of instruction, my friend woke up with a bleeding nose piercing the next day and no clue how to treat it, and the backs of the earrings I had in the piercings below my new piercings got covered in crusted blood shedding off of the new piercings. I would not recommend going here, especially not for ear piercings, it isn't worth your time or money.

We went on a Thursday afternoon and got a walk in appointment and we were in and out in about 15 mins. The employees there are amazing! Very professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Always a great experience from the friendly employees and artists to the atmosphere. Out of the 8 tattoos I have, I’ve had 5 done here and love them all. Would highly recommend!

Had my left eyebrow done by Tara. She's the absolute best, and I know I can trust her judgement on placement and jewelry size. I'm very happy with my latest piercing & can't wait to get a matching piercing on my right eyebrow!

Fair warning reader, this might take awhile. Only because I’ve neglected to take a few minutes after each visit to this magical place. Sorry Aloha Monkey! My first visit was this past December and I believe I’ve been back 6 or 7 times since. The atmosphere of the shop is alway welcoming & calming (chill, just like all artists & staff), brightly lit, fantastic art/deco. All areas are kept sparkling clean and organized. The front is ran with machine-like efficiency by the staff and systems they have in place. If you pay attention to signs on their outer door each day, etc they’re very clear when there’s a piercer on staff for the day. I’m sorry because I don’t have names-but I can’t say enough good things about the staff up there. I’ve always been treated friendly and professionally. They answer my random questions (very knowledgeable) and stay patient. I’ve had 2 nose piercings done, septum by Tara (I didn’t catch the other’s name). Both experiences and piercers were great. Although I’ve had many piercings in the past, I was still told step-by-step what was happening from the moment I stepped in the room, to when I left. Aftercare was clearly explained. If you’re thinking about any type of piercing, go to Aloha Monkey, where you can feel safe and secure in a professional’s hands. On to the tattoos and the phenomenal artists at Aloha Monkey. First of all, you know it’s a great shop when there’s a line of people waiting to get in before opening (Saturday). The walk-in wait time just depends on the day & time (and I’ve visited the shop on/at various). If you don’t want to wait as long, then it’s on you to choose a slower time of day. Either way, the wait goes fast and people are friendly. It’s fun to talk to your “neighbors” about current/new tattoos & piercings. You can be the one to ease the nerves and say “of course it doesn’t hurt.” :) The bigger your tattoo, more changes, etc could mean a consultation and scheduling several later sessions. This place is jammin’. Easily the busiest shop lobby that I have ever seen. However, the front desk runs a tight ship and keeps everything flowing nicely. The guest list of tattooers, is impressive. Which certainly speaks to Aloha Monkey’s importance, within the tattooing culture. So far, I’ve only been tattooed here once, but I think that I got to experience a special place. Hopefully, I can get back down there soon.

Incredible tattoo shop! The shop is clean, they have an easy process to check in, and the artists all seemed great. I highly recommend!

Have been coming to Aloha before they moved to their new location. Love being able to walk in, and trust each tattoo artist to do an amazing job!

I got ears piercings, we walked in and didn’t wait to long. The shop has a cool atmosphere and the gals behind the counter were awesome! Thank you so much and I will be back for a tattoo very soon!!!! Update! I will never go back my ears got infected and I ended up taking the piercings out and that was the end of that I had to go on antibiotics for the infection and that is it so sorry never will be back! gross I followed all the directions and everything they told me. I still got an infection. Nope nope nope thank you very much.

I was a little hesitant to go here as they dint take appointments for piercings and I didn't have a lot of time to wait. I'm glad I stopped in, not only because there wasn't much of a wait but thr entire process went very smooth. From the friendly greeting I got when I walked in the door to the detailed explanation of costs and the process to the immediate email for aftercare, it was a great experience.

I went to re-do an earlobe piercing, I thought the piercer was fantastic and did a great job. The jewelry was way overpriced and it is not communicated what is in what price category. I would give the piercer 5/5 and the store 3/5.

I’ve been to Aloha Monkey 3x now. Every time it has been nothing short of amazing. I was provided great customer service every time! I have gone there for a few piercings and a tattoo and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable.

I went in not knowing for sure what I was actually going to get done this visit. The staff were all patient while I took my time deciding. My piercer was very understanding to what I was looking for and gentle when putting my jewelry in after not wearing any in my existing piercing for quite some time. My tattoo artist Matt took the extra time to make sure my idea was 100% to my liking!! Overall a great experience!!

Walked in and everyone here was so nice and professional! Ana did an amazing job on my 3 tattoos! I will definitely be back, no question.
