Oh wow. They call it Promised Land because when the Israelites fled from Egypt they were hoping to find a shop like this. Pharaoh’s got nothing on this place. It’s beautiful. It’s clean. The people are friendly. For some, all of that is a turnoff, I get it. But trust me- they’re legit here. Most legit of all is the legendary St. Louis Tattooer Dusto Roosevelt. Dusto is so good he makes me want to become obese so I can have more space for tattoos. Not even joking. Which makes me think the only way this place could get better is if they added a taco stand to the inside. Tats and tacs. It’s the future. Go here and get a tattoo and while you’re there, tell them to install a taco stand. Seriously.

I’ve had three incredible experiences at Promised Land, specifically with Caleb. He could not have made the visits any smoother or more comfortable. My first visit, I came in with a nose piercing that had gone horribly wrong somewhere else earlier that day. Caleb professionally but directly told me his opinion about next steps, which included taking out the jewelry and letting it heal. He went into the science behind it all and assured me everything would be fine. I returned a month later to get my nose re-pierced at Promised Land. I almost chickened out when I got there, but Caleb made me feel so comfortable and at home that I decided MAYBE I can do this. He talked me through every single step so expertly that before I knew it, my nose was pierced. Note that this is my second nose piercing, and he was able to line the two holes up beautifully. When I came back to get the post changed out, I decided to get my conch pierced. Once again, the experience was nearly painless, so professional, and so efficient. Bottom line: go NO WHERE ELSE for your piercings. Seriously, this guy knows his stuff. High-quality jewelry, amazing staff, really cool space, and so easy to make an appointment. More than happy to give this place 5 stars…6 if I could.

Wow!!! Came here twice and both times my experience was stellar. The first time, I was a walk in because I had a piercing (done elsewhere) and the piercing post fell off. I was panicking and luckily Promised Land was nearby. Caleb quickly helped me and replaced my jewelry. Caleb was so friendly and nice! I loved that experience so much that I booked an appointment for a consultation about my piercings and ended up getting my septum pierced as well. Wow. The whole experience was amazing. Caleb took the time to explain every step and took the time to really line up my piercing. The process was painless and so far the healing *knock on wood* has been smooth. If you’re looking for a good, clean and knowledgeable piecer in STL, look no further! Highly recommend.
