First and foremost, Level Up is the only place I'll go in Montana. Pablo does absolute stunning work! Quiet, professional and absolutely worth the wait. Anyone complaining about wait times and prices, get real. Professional quality comes with professional pricing. They absolutely killed my tattoo (I get stopped daily and asked about it) and again, a second time with Trevor.. Do not hesitate to book with them, you won't be disappointed! Don't waste your time with any of the other shops in town, just wait and it'll be worth it!

Last July, I scheduled an appointment for October, and paid a $100 deposit (Appt #1). A few weeks before my appointment I had to reschedule, to about a month later, to November 7th (appt #2). I took the day off of work. When I got to the shop the door was locked. I messaged their facebook (the only means of communication I had, the phone number listed on the door is disconnected), and waited in my car (during a snowstorm) for about 45 minutes for a response, and nothing. That night they messaged saying there was a mixup and my appt was actually supposed to be on Friday, November 11th (appt #3). I coincidentally had that day off for a holiday and I responded that would work. The morning of November 11th I got a message saying the artist wasn't feeling well so had to reschedule to the next weekend (appt #4). That weekend came around and they rescheduled again, to the Sunday after Thanksgiving (appt #5). We came back early from spending the holiday with family so I could do this. That morning I showed up and again the door was locked. Someone came out of the building and several others were waiting outside, and he stated someone would be with us shortly. Over an hour later I finally got a message stating they had to go to the ER that morning. Then stating I would get a discount for my troubles and sending a preview for approval by Tuesday, and rescheduling to the next weekend (appt #6). Not surprisingly, I did not get a preview. The morning of my appt I messaged so I didn't waste another trip to the shop and they said a relative just passed away that morning. At that point I requested a refund which they said would be there the next week. A week later I finally messaged and asked when I would receive it, and they said to come to the shop and I could get it in cash (which they did follow through on). Just to summarize, 6 appts were scheduled. One of those was rescheduled due to my schedule. The rest were no show or short notice cancellations. From what I'm reading this

They do absolutely amazing work. I got my first tattoo there almost 10 years ago and 3 more since then. I will never go anywhere else. The entire staff is amazingly professional, courteous, and so dedicated to a clean, safe environment as well.

Love these guys. I have been getting tattooed by Pablo and Dereck since the shop opened. Super knowledgeable, respectful and fun. They take what they do seriously without thanking themselves too serious so I just feel relaxed and in good hands. Then there is Donna, she will be an instant friend and she is just as knowledgeable as the guys. I can not say enough about how great they are as people and artists.
Now to mention the shop, it is beautiful. The place is open and bright and spotless. They have the health department paperwork out where you can see the health of everyone is taking seriously.

I have gone to Level up for four years, and they continually outdo themselves. They are accommodating, and not only the best tattoos in the state, but some of the best I have ever seen. Pablo is incredible, Derick is mind blowingly artistic. If you have any thoughts about getting a tattoo, wether it be your first tattoo or your a tattoo veteran, go to level up. Incredible service, quality, and people. I cannot recommend them enough.

I absolutely love Level Up! All of my tattoos have been done by Pablo over the last 7 years including a memorabilia tattoo for my dad that Pablo helped me design and absolutely nailed. The shop is always super clean and the atmosphere is friendly, fun and inviting. I highly recommend anyone looking to get a tattoo done to go see them!

Tattoo is insane! Can't express how pleased I am with this artist (Pablo). Probably the best black and grey realism artist in town. Will definitely be back for more ink.

My experience was wonderful, very pleasant. The artist did a amazing job, took him time and his efforts show. I definitely will be back! I’ve have had many tattoos done but never anything this beautiful. He was respectful, was very clean and friendly. Very nice work. I will reup load a picture when I have a better one.

My husband and I both got in contact with these guys seven or eight years ago, and have since had many pieces tattooed by both Derek and Pablo. Over the years, we have made great relationships with Donna and the guys! They fit our styles perfectly, are so easy to work with, and you can trust them to get your ideas down perfectly to show off forever. As long as they are in business, we would (and have before) traveled near and far! We adore this shop!

We have booked several appointments in the past and have always recommended this place to everyone we speak to. I had 4 friends coming in from out of state for a school reunion and we all wanted matching tattoos plus each of us wanted to add on other work. I booked the appointment 6 months ago. We were hassled to all pay the shop min of $100. The out of state'rs were leery to do that due to travel arrangements could change at the drop of a hat so I agreed to pay my fee as I am local and Donna agreed to that. The day before the appt we tried to stop in and confirm our sketch and talk to Donna. The phone number listed on door is out of service. When I messaged her I was told they wouldn't be in the shop till the following day. I confirmed our appt was at 11:30 and was then told not to come in until 2. I reminded her she had 5 of us to tattoo and that we had reunion activities at 7 and our original appt was for 11:30. She then proceeded to tell me they were out of town and would not be arriving back in GF until 1pm the following day. The following day I received a text message saying she was cancelling all our appts because their flights were changed. She offered a full refund and gift certificates for the full price of our scheduled work. I tried to reschedule for the following day reminding her these girls were from out of state and a gift certificate would be no good. She only responded with, a refund will be issued, and no offer of reschedule. I finally had to ask for my refund 3 days later as I still had not received anything. To schedule an out of town trip with a return date the day you have 5 appts, 4 of them out of state clients was extremely unprofessional. I feel if we had not stopped by the day before, we likely would not have even been told our appt was cancelled. Will no longer be recommending this place.

They don’t treat potential customers very well. Very picky on what projects they will take. I didn’t ask for anything extreme just wanted a fish essentially with a legal spin on it which any good artist could do I even would have let their own way. They wouldn’t take the business like they hate money. Recommend trying someone else that can treat potential customers better and actually do what customers want. Been to other world class tattoo shops that would do it in a heartbeat.

This place is the perfect epitome of how a business should not be run. The model and their so-called “mission” on treating their customers in a special way is nothing but a fluff. While I cannot comment how good the artistry is, I am going to have to agree with the comments made below with the attitude of cancelations appointments. Tattoo appointments do not come easily available so when you wait for a month for your appointment, brace yourself for your appointment to get canceled last minute on the same day. Then, brace yourself for the low standards of communication. I wasn’t even given a reschedule option at the soonest - they wanted to know if I had time in the upcoming weeks… to probably reschedule again. What’s more is I never received a proof or heard from the artist about what they worked day prior my appointment so I don’t even know if he actually had a draft worked on my piece I wanted. On top of all of this unprofessional attitude, I had to chase them for my deposit for a week - the person who “runs” the business agreed to pay my deposit back, and when I checked on it after 3 days, they claimed they didn’t have my preferred method of payment which they had initially said “sure” and not communicate this timely. Then I had to chase them every day. They would say I’ll pay tomorrow and still not pay it. I had to have a whole rant to get my money back and all of this happened for $100. They were out of town, and they had to go to the bank, they had no service etc. Bottom of the story: it doesn’t matter how your artistry is, but if you cannot manage a business with honesty and dignity and respect of the time of your client - it means nothing. I suggest you are better off finding another studio where you can be treated professionally. Oh, and their phone number advertised on the front of their studio doesn’t work so you can’t actually communicate other than messaging them. So go get a tattoo somewhere else if you don’t want inconvenience. Peace ✌🏽

I HIGHLY recommend level up tattoo. Pablo and Derrick take immense pride in what they do and are true artists. Donna manages and runs the shop and ensures that you are always well taken care of. The shop is always perfectly clean and a comfortable environment. I guarantee that you will leave here with not just a tattoo but a true piece of artwork. Hands down the best place in great falls, I will not go anywhere else. Both of these are by artist Pablo.

I came into Level Up with nothing but a dream and an idea. Pablo was able to take words on paper and turn them into a vision. I wanted a woman (Virgo) for my oldest, a lion (leo) for my second and symbolism for Sagittarius for my two youngest. For aftercare, they made themselves available. Overall a tremendous experience, and I'm looking forward to Picasso helping me get my ideas on skin.

So like many others, I had an appointment for just a brief consult I scheduled and traveled to great falls for from over 100 miles away. Supposed to be at 2pm. At nearly 2 I was asked if I could come at 3:30 as they were behind. An hour later I was told he they couldn't get time to chat with me today and could I come back tomorrow. Obvious answer after reading similar reviews is guess I won't be coming back EVER. Gas alone for 2 trips both ways equaling nearly 500 miles with a few meals along that way is not acceptable.
