The store is very nice and appealing. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The lady that did our piercing, Sara, was very standoffish and acted like we didn't belong there. She made it very uncomfortable for us. We'll be going back for some tattoos. Let's hope the tattoo artist is nicer than the piercer.

Have gotten four piercings from Millz since I started coming here- they're extremely friendly and take great care in their job. They're the only piercer I've gone to that's actually checked my anatomy before to make sure the piercing will work okay. I haven't had a bad experience yet here and always recommend it to friends :)

I come to Millz for all my piercing/jewelry needs and refer all my friends to them for a reason! Millz is hands down one of the most professional and gentle piercers I’ve ever come across. Their aftercare instructions are clear and easy to follow and I love the cleaning solution that they sell in shop. My piercings have always healed perfectly and so quick! I’ll forever and always recommend Millz for any and all piercings! Can’t wait for the next one!

We took our 8-year-old son to get his ears pierced for his birthday. He was very nervous. However, the piercer, Millz, was great, very patient and made the process positive and quick. He is excited to go back for more one day. We were so thankful that the experience was positive and will definitely go back. I recommend Altered Skin to anyone looking for a piercing or a minor piercing in Missoula.

I got my Medusa pierced by millz, and she is such an incredible lady! The piercing turned out beautiful and the healing process was a breeze. Millz checked in to see how the piercing was healing, and I’ve never had a piercer care much after to check in. Anyone who’s asked me about piercings and where to go, I’ll always send em’ here! The other employees are wonderful as well and are very professional. You can tell they all want to be there and truly enjoy their customers

I had the absolute BEST experience getting my septum pierced by Sarah Millz. The process was quick, but I got all of the information I needed, and was also able to ask any questions I had. The piecing itself was SO EASY & PAINLESS, I was shocked. I would highly recommend getting a piercing from Millz!

I’ve had bad piercing experiences several times to the point where I won’t be going back. I had over 5 nose piercings from Millz, most of them fell out but the couple I had left I went to change them to studs so they are matching on both sides and when they were put in they were so not even, even though it was Millz who pierced them, they insisted I take it out and allow it heal to repierce it, so be spent over $300 for my nose to have them uneven and then have to re move and heal so that they can fix their uneven mistake on my dime is ridiculous. It should have been done right the first few times especially with how expensive it was. Won’t be going back ever

So I've been using altered skin for several years, over 10 and I will not go back. All of my kids have had tattoos done by Dave I've had tattoos by Dave his wife has pierced my girls and I really didn't even think twice when my six-year-old granddaughter wanted her ears pierced as to where we would go, I knew we were going to altered skin cause that's where we've always gone. But upon arrival I'm looking at the earrings and I was told $70 for these and a 140 for the flat pack I told the guy at the desk I wanted to go with the $70 ones because I have several kids they all have their ears pierced doesn't seem to be a problem so why not go with regular, then the piercer comes out and says I suggest to flat back and I said yeah I think I'm just going to go with the $70 ones that's kind of outrageous for earrings, and she rolls her eyes shakes her head and goes back into her office. (I mean if they were something you loved and really wanted yes of course but these are temporary) so anyways we left very poor service. Will not recommend and will never go back. Sorry Dave can't do the rudeness.

So I showed up here on my birthday to get a tattoo made a appointment a down payment and everything, get there just for the artist to show me a tattoo he came (up with)witch I had sent a couple of photos prior to this appointment of what I was wanting. And he came out with something I didn’t want. made me wait 2 hours just to come back out and tell me he couldn’t do it. Wouldn’t recommend going there for a tattoo.

I don’t recommend until they talk to their receptionist about proper etiquette. When someone is walking in and asking about piercing prices, the jewelry materials, the jewelry selection, aftercare, etc. You don’t spam the phrase “so who’s ready to start paperwork?”. No one is ready to start paperwork until you answer the questions. Why would someone who has skin sensitivity or problems with aftercare or is picky about jewelry want to start paperwork before having the important questions answered? Also, you should provide every person with aftercare instructions.
