My girlfriend and I have been going to tattoo maven for 5 years now and we have had nothing but amazing experiences every single visit. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone there is like family to each other. I am now completing my 2nd sleeve and I am beyond satisfied with the outcome. Edwin puts his heart and soul into every tattoo that he does. It is so hard to find an artist nowadays that is willing to do that. Edwin makes tattoos feel painless. The shop as a whole is unbelievable. I’ve recommended all of my friends to get tattooed at tattoo maven, many which got tattooed by edwin but also by Greg, Gavin, and Adam. They all love their results because every artist in there is unique in their own and way that is what makes tattoo maven a perfect, well rounded, tattoo shop. I can’t recommend them enough.

I have been going to Edwin the owner for almost a decade now. I was ecstatic when I heard he would be opening his own shop 7 years ago. Everyone at the shop is dedicated and quite knowledgeable about tattooing. I highly recommend checking their artists as there is someone for every type of tattoo present. I cannot say anything bad about Gavin and Edwin… Edwin did my foot tattoo and Gavin recently did my sons first name initial on my wrist and I already left a deposit for a cover up on my other wrist. I want a date covered up on my wrist, and Gavin and one of the guys were up front and honest about the piece I want. They told me to get it lightened because no matter what is there it would be able to be seen… that right there made me realize I made the right choice, because any other place would say screw it and just take my money. Gavin will not even begin the tattoo until he is happy with the prior tattoo being lightened enough and i am so appreciative because I’d be miserable if I was still able to see it! These guys are honest and down to earth and nothing less than the ultimate professionals. I cannot wait to get more work done and they are top artists in their field. Edwin has also done my brothers sleeves/chest/back. He, and Gavin are by far the best!

I absolutely love the people here at Tattoo Maven. I've been going there for a couple years now and have had the pleasure of working with a couple different members of their staff, and I've had nothing but positive interactions with all of them. The artists take their work very seriously and always run changes or modifications by the client should there be any. It is a clean, sterile environment and I have never experienced infections or difficulties with the healing process. Every artist makes sure that the client is comfortable, and they make it very well known that should we ever feel like we need a break during the process to just ask. They are the only people I go to for tattoos when I'm at home on Long Island and the only people I recommend when people in the area ask for any recommendations!

I’ve recently had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Edwin for 4 sessions and it was a great experience. Edwin does absolutely fantastic work, is an unbelievable artist and also great company. Every piece of art he has done on me has received so many compliments from people all over, needless to say I’m excited for my future sessions with him. Maven Tattoo is a great shop top to bottom. The staff are all very friendly and cool to converse with, and they all work very hard at their craft and keeping their workplace and tools clean as well for everyone’s safety. I highly recommend going here for a great experience!

My brother and I both got our first tattoos here on the same day and couldn’t have had a better experience. Our artist Gavin was professional, knowledgeable , and extremely friendly. He was constantly talking with both of us and made us as comfortable as possible. Would highly recommend anyone at this shop

An absolute amazing shop to get a tattoo or piercing at. I got countless tatts from here from my guy Gavin. He is hands down the nicest guy you could get tattooed by and is super cool to his clients. Gavin really makes you feel like you always have known him and does FIRE work. GO GET YOURSELF A SICK YATT FROM THIS MAN!!

The only tattoo shop I trust! Whether you are a walk in or have an appointment, their staff gets you in fast. Gavin has done three of my tattoos which all came out phenomenal! His work is reasonably priced and he went over aftercare for each time I went there which was super helpful. The shop is super clean with great energy that you won’t find anywhere else. I’ve recommended the shop and Gavin to my family and friends who have all had great success with their tattoos. I will definitely be going back soon 🙌🏽

This is the best tattoo shop on the island hands down! I’ve been going to this shop for 18 months now. They have hands down the best customer service, everyone there is kind and very chill, a great environment with some of the best people in the industry. Gavin has been my artist for over 18 months and every time I go there he is professional, courteous, willing and open to changing ideas or dragons and is very is very understandable with price. I will go to no other tattoo shop and see no other artist he is the best. If you are to go to any shop on Long Island….go here!

My boyfriend got his first tattoo by Gavin and it couldn’t have came out any better. Gavin provides a professional and positive experience with amazing talent. I got my third holes pierced during the same visit and they came out great, the piercer explained to me important informAtion regarding piercing cleaning being that my ears are sensitive and it was a huge help! Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Tattoo Maven enough, especially Edwin. I had an old tribal tattoo I got when I was young and I have always wanted to get it covered up and I wanted to do a full arm sleeve. I’ve had 7 sessions so far with Edwin and they have all been fantastic. I look forward to each session and always have a great time when I’m there. The entire crew there have always been friendly and chill and the studio is super clean with a great vibe . I constantly get compliments on the work I’ve had done so far and I cannot wait to finish my Star Wars sleeve and move onto my Horror sleeve. Edwin and Tattoo Maven are a phenomenal shop that I highly recommend

I was referred to Tattoo Maven by two of my friends who are rocking some amazing tattoos, so when I got one done by Gavin, I was thrilled with how it turned out. The atmosphere is so calming and friendly in the studio, that Gavin even offered up some of his extra time to give my best friend and I matching tattoos a few weeks after. It’s honestly my go-to shop now, all of the artists are talented in their own ways with their own styles, and work with you to give you exactly what you’re looking for. He even offered to fix one of my fine line tattoos for free, which wasn’t even done by him. Seriously, amazing staff.

I highly recommend coming to Tattoo Maven! I have been coming here for about the past 3 years. Gregg has done almost all of the tattoos I have. I can’t explain how much I love coming here. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and personable. Whenever I come to get tattoos other artists in the shop come to check out what I'm getting with good spirits and always seem genuinely interested and give compliments. Over the past years Gregg has been like a friend, always ready with enthusiasm to see what I want tattooed and open to my ideas. He has done a great job on my tattoos whether I give a general idea or provide my own stencils, he is really outstanding with the fine lines I ask for. He executed the tattoos for my half sleeve wonderfully, which are all family related so it meant a lot that they came out just as I imagined. I have gotten many compliments on my tattoos, and when they ask where I go, I immediately share tattoo mavens Instagram. While getting tattooed Gregg always recommends the best placement and lets me check the stencil to ensure it’s exactly like I want it. He keeps a clean workspace and talks through the process. He is very accommodating and will make sure I'm doing okay while he is tattooing. He has no problem if I need a break, have any pain/ tingles, or need some candy! The shop is very fair priced, and they always have good music to listen to. They have tattoo aftercare that I have bought, they offer a small travel size and a large tub. I recommend the large tub, it’s very smooth, smells good and helps with the healing process. Tattoo Maven gives a space you can feel comfortable in. Sometimes I prefer to talk, sometimes I like to be quiet and sometimes I like to laugh watching The Maury Show. I have great memories and experiences coming here, it’s the only tattoo shop I go to. Couldn’t say enough good things about Edwin, Greg and Gavin. I’ve been tattooed by plenty of artists from around the world (Gavin and Greg included) and been to plenty of different shops around LI/NYC. Tattoo Maven is hands down one of the cleanest, most comfortable and professional shops that Long Island has to offer. The guys are great and create a nice atmosphere and pump out some real good tattoos so I highly recommend stopping in and checking them out and setting something up.
