Drove here from Statesville to get a birthday tattoo for myself! This cute little house looks awesome inside. There's a lot of antique decor and they have beautiful jewelry for sale and theres an upstairs and downstairs. It is a little more unique than most shops you see! Staff were very sweet and made sure you feel welcome and the bathroom is very clean. The parking situation is a little confusing and that was the only thing I wasn't super fond of so make sure to call ahead if you get confused so you don't park somewhere that blocks someone's home or earns you a ticket!

Great shop with a bunch of awesome and talented artists. I've known Rebecca for years and I highly recommend her as an artist. She's done 5 of my pieces so far and I know there will be many more to come! They've all healed perfectly and the oldest has gone 8 years while still retaining good color, sharp lines, and crisp detail. Her colors and solid blacks are consistent and bold. (I never find those light patchy bits that need a touch-up.) The care and attention she gives every client and each design ensures you'll get a quality tattoo that's exactly what you want.

I highly recommend Pure Steam and Rebecca, the owner. The whole experience outdid my expectations as a first-timer get pierced. We come to Asheville often and was in the area. I called and she returned my call quickly. We set up sn appt for that evening. I was nervous since this was my first time, and she gave me all my options as far as nose piercings and sizes. As she marked where it would be on my nose, she even took into consideration my glasses and made sure they would not nump onto them. She was calm which made me calm and my nerves and jitters went away immediatly. I even made the comment after she put the needle in, “That wasn’t at all as bad as I thought!” She was clean and made sure everything was sterile from start to finish. My favorite part…if we’re back in Asheville, she likes to follow up with her clients and see me in 6-8 weeks! What a personalized touch! I will recommend her to all my friends that live up this way! For any more work, I will be back to see Rebecca!

I went to this store March 17th, I received a tattoo and a nose piercing. For starters the tattoo artist basically told me his hole life story and made it into a pity party about himself, not only to me but my sister who also got a tattoo from the same guy and begged me not to leave her because he kept talking about his bad relationships and his life. When I got my nose piercing I warned the piercer I have a fear of needles but I’m trying to overcome that fear. She wasn’t supportive and almost let me leave without my jewelry being fully secured. The piercer also pierced my nose at a very bad angle! I went into a popular shop and they told me I can’t wear a stud because it only shows the side of the jewelry and with my hoop it sits wrong as well. I am very unhappy with my visit and I do not recommend this place!!!! I’ve also had someone (idk if they work at the shop) comment on my fb page and argue with me about the situation.
