I have multiple tattoos and have been to different artists each time. I don’t have any complaints about any of them, but my recent experience with Paulie at Magnolia Tattoo Company deserves more than 5 stars and a shout out to the universe. From our first interaction via email, Paulie made it clear that he understood that this tattoo was very special to me. He worked with me for months to help design a 3/4 sleeve. As others mention in their reviews, Paulie is a passionate, talented artist. He didn’t just ask me what I wanted and where I wanted it. He talked about the muscles and structure of my arm and shared his thoughts and ideas on what he felt would work best. I’ve never had that kind of collaborative interaction before with other tattoo artists. It was what I have been searching for! We started on it this week, and I’m not only blown away by his artistic talent but by his genuine interest in my story and why this tattoo is important to me. He made sure my experience was not only comfortable but actually enjoyable. We listened to Tom Waits and talked about films, both integral parts of my tattoo. What an awesome experience! I’m grateful to Paulie for taking on my special project. I look forward to future sessions as my long-imagined idea comes to life.

Paulie is the most talented artist I have ever worked with. He is a true artist. Not only is he incredibly talented but also the most personable and wonderful human being. He made my consultation and session the best experiences. My tattoo is incredible and I get compliments on it every time it’s seen. Can’t wait to work with him again in the future.

Paulie is the by far the best black/white/gray artist I’ve come across in all of my years, and I was lucky enough to have found him after moving to this state not too long ago. Shop is very clean and cool, there is so much to look at. His work is beautiful, and he really listens to what you want and brings your ideas to life 10x better than you could ever imagine. He is very friendly, educated, funny and relatable, tattoo appointments feel like hanging out with an old friend you’re catching up with. Excited for our journey together to complete my sleeve. Update: Sleeve is complete after a couple months. Every bit of thought and energy this man put into my work made my sleeve better than I could’ve ever imagined. I’m full of bad decisions and regrets typically but this is easily one of my best decisions and proudest moments. Every appointment was amazing, beyond thankful for this man and all that he does. Wish nothing but the best for him and his business.

Paulie is an amazing artist. On top of that, he’s very experienced, professional, kind and a wonderful human to share space with while getting work done. I’ve been working with him for over a decade on various projects and will continue to for many more. Magnolia is a beautifully designed, clean, and safe space. Go see Paulie!

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Paulie. He listened, patiently adapted an image I had to make it closer to what I wanted, and made really perfect suggestions based on his vast experience and impressive skill level. This is probably the best shop experience I’ve ever had - calm, relaxing, and completely unique. The subject matter of this tattoo means a lot to me, and Paulie thoughtfully and empathetically created a tattoo I love. I can’t recommend him or his studio enough.

Paulie is awesome!

Paulie is a very sweet and kind artist that would take the time to make sure your tattoo is done right. He is very relationship oriented, and would treat your tattoo with care a respect regardless of how complicated or simple the design is. He makes a lot of effort to make his clients feel comfortable as well.

The other reviews are all accurate. If you have some trepidation about getting your first tattoo, this is the place to do it. Paulie is very professional and talented. He will sit down with you and make sure you're getting exactly what you want.

This is a great business with a better owner. The owner is attentive to art for the user while still advocating for consultative alteration that makes more sense from an artist's perspective. Trust the professional eye and advice....always! While I pause to call this place a "shop", because it defies that definition, this particular location has a vibe that is low key, no drama, no BS, and is a place that is comfortable, warm, and welcoming. I get work done here due to the artist's skill - I like coming here because of the artist himself and for the space he has created.

Absolutely 10/10. Paulie is the most laid back guy and just makes you feel comfortable and immediately at ease. He's an absolutely amazing artist and really really knows what he's doing. Highly recommend if you're looking for good atmosphere and beautiful artwork.

Paulie has built something special in Magnolia Tattoo Co. The place: it's a welcoming, comfortable, inclusive, and completely non-intimidating environment all-around. The work: I mean, look at the pics, Paulie is a talented artist. Hopefully when you're there, he'll have some beautiful in-progress oil painting on the easel as well to attest to this. He REALLY cares about the all the details but is so open about talking through them it feels like a collaborative effort (even if I did just defer to his expertise most of the time). The personal: Paulie is just a super kind-hearted guy. It's obvious he cares deeply about the people and community around him. I really enjoyed our conversations and coming in for follow-ups felt like visiting an old pal. Looking forward to the next project already and I don't even have the tegaderm off the last one.

I had a great experience with Paulie. This was my first tattoo, and he gave me the perfect balance of listening and offering his professional opinion. My design is quite simple relative to his other work, but he still took great care and precision throughout. He's very kind and talented and creates a great atmosphere.

Magnolia Tattoo Company is the only place I will go to get some ink done. It's a one of a kind tattoo shop that never dissapoints.
