Came here with two friends to get very small matching tattoos (about an inch in size and just lines, no shading.) Our appointment was at 8:30 pm and we didn’t end up leaving until 12:30 am. The first thing we did when we walked in was pay. We then sat there for an hour and a half waiting for David to set up our 3 trays so then he could “get us in and out.” It then took him 2 and a half hours to do our 3 very small tattoos. He would get up, not say anything and walk to the back and then not come back for 30-45 min. At one point we went back to see what was going on and him and his girlfriend/fiancé were shut in the bathroom together. He was extremely slow and flustered the whole time. He never knew where any of his equipment/supplies was (even though it was right in front of him.) When he came out from the back to do the last friend (after being gone for 30 min) he had “marks” on his arms as well as in between his fingers that were actually bleeding. Leaving blood on his shirt. I have a pretty good idea of what was going on but not going to assume. There was also a 2 year old that was strapped into and infant seat in the back room the whole 4 hours which was extremely disturbing. So HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Went here with 3 other friends. Got there at around 8:40, they told us to get our own jewelry from Walmart or somewhere (first red flag) .then the piercer after doing the first one disappears in the back with who I assume was his GF or wife for 30 min. Very unprofessional. And then took until MIDNIGHT to finish the rest of the 3 piercings. THREE hours total for 4 piercing. Absolutely ridiculous. Was not very clean while he did my piercing, didn't see the other ones done. He put on his gloves on , then proceeded to touch his chair, piercing draw for the needle, scissors, and the packaging with the jewelry that was from Walmart that had been touched by I don't even know how many people. I will never go back here and never recommend it. I seriously do not know how this place has a 4.8 rating. Must have changed owners or something. Wish it was a better experience but it simply was not , they weren't rude but definetley not professional or clean while doing the piercing.

Don't go here I repeat don't go here and if you do do pay until your tattooo is finished. Went to get a tattoo he didn't finish that night. The day I was supposed to go back to have I finished they canceled on me and won't schedule me to fix it. IM NOT VERY SMART AND PAID IN FULL DONT BE LIKE ME, had to go to another shop and pay again to have it finished

Got scammed out of a $200 deposit, now currently trying to get it back and will involve the help of my leadership and a civil lawsuit. Crazy how they’ll do people who serve their country

Was a last minute decision on this tattoo but it came out very, very nice and on top of that the length it took to get it, was not bad at all. Overall very nice place and plan to come back if I'm ever in the area in the future.

Bit of a scheduling issue with artists not showing up but the woman and man who opened up the shop handled the situation well and accommodated everyone on a crazy night. Walked out happy with a great tattoo.

Me and my Boyfriend came in for some tiny Tree tattoos which wasn’t planned at all. Everyone was very kind and Was still willing to take us and work with us even though it was almost closing time which we appreciated very much . Jay did a GREAT job on our tattoos and we love them so much. thank you! We will def be back !

When I called last night to ask about a nose piercing they told me to come in at 2-2:30. Came at 2 and waiting until 3 because nobody was there. Seems unprofessional.

Good People known two of them for minute. Straight up J-ville show them some love great artist and good people to kick it back with.

Does really great work and fast and friendly. The four hours I was there, I felt like I had knew them guys for all my life the way they had me cutting up laughing and talking while I was getting my tattoo. Always a tough decision to get a tattoo on vacation but my sons and their friends ( thanks Mario) diligently combed the area, reviews and after numerous conversations we decided on Freedom Ink in Jacksonville NC! Easy access thru Facebook to make appointment and pay deposit! Arrived early and was met with friendly people and a truly professional shop! The owner was working on an extensive tattoo but picked his head up to say hello and thanks for coming !! The most important thing to me was the strict adherence to infection control especially between clients !! GREAT JOB !!!!! My sons and I had the fortune of being tattooed by Brian ! We had sent in the idea and Brian put it together with his technology and brought it to life ! Brian was the utmost professional and treated us great! His eye for detail and precision was unmatched He engaged us in conversation and was great to all of us !!if your group or just you are in the Emerald Isle area and want to commemorate the vacation with a tattoo Call Chris and Request Brian at Freedom Ink !
