Sam is an incredible artist, and I would highly recommend her for any tattoo work! My wife and I were married last weekend and hoping to get semi-matching pieces. After emailing several local artists, Sam replied with an opening and immediately started a collaborative design process via email. Once we arrived, she also created a comfortable, inclusive atmosphere (it was my wife’s first time) that was clean and professional. She’s also awesome, and it was fun getting to know her while she worked. This was my favorite, most emotionally significant tattoo experience yet, and it was made all the better by the folks at Black Opal. 5/5 for sure, and bonus points for being an inclusive, equity-minded, and women-run business!

Kailah is the best of the best and I would wait years to only get tattooed by her. I got my first couple do tattooed by her last year and my husband has been getting a full piece by her this year. I was tattooed by Samantha and I never had a great experience like I did with her. She definitely went over and beyond for me this Saturday. I love my cover up she created for me. She also was friendly, professional, funny, and really respectful which I haven't got that from a lot of people who have tattooed me over the years. She is talented and passionate in her work.
