Deke's the dude! I have now received four tattoos by Deke at Farewell Tattoo in Bend Oregon and love them all! He communicated well, the shop is nice and clean, and he will be honest if something isn't going to look good or fit, which is just as important - Tattoo's are permanent you know?! ;) He took my ideas and made them his own with his traditional bold style but reimagined and his own. Deke is hands-down, one of the raddest tattooers in Central Oregon. Though he primarily does more traditional stuff these days, he also has a ton of experience with blackwork and dotwork/stipple-shading. Of the tattoos I have currently (at least 20, I've lost count), almost 80% of them are from Deke and range from extensive blackwork/line-work to hard-core traditional stuff. He pulls super clean lines time after time, his depth is solid, and his preferred color pallette for trad stuff is killer. Though it might not seem applicable to tattooing, this dude has awesome music taste and will make sure you enjoy your time in and out of the chair during your session. I live out of the area now but look forward to hopping back in his station as soon as I am able. He's a top notch tattooer and all-around awesome guy. Very proud to carry his art with me for the rest of my life.
