Wanted to help get the perfect gift for my daughter , she had wanted a tattoo with a flower with my grandsons name in it , how do you design a tattoo with out the person receiving it be apart of the process , I can tell you , you call Johnny at Blu Steel I gave him the ideas and he designed the most beautiful piece of art work , my daughter called me after she left , her words … mom this tattoo is everything I wanted and more , Johnny was so kind and gave me thee most beautiful tattoo Ever , I seen a smile in my daughter as she showed me that melted my heart , I could not imagine going to any other business and I wouldn’t I can not Recommend this company or Johnny enough …. I had the pleasure of receiving a tattoo from a friend enrolled in the tattoo school here. (Amber! You're so rad!) Right away, you're greeted with a clean, modest and organized studio. I had a lot of fun observing some of the teaching process, getting to know Ricardo and Johnny, teachers and proprietors, a bit as they were both present. Both were so engaged with my friend and another student, working in the same room on another client. They would ask them questions, provide feedback, offer suggestions and were encouraging. I could tell they have great relationships with everyone in the shop and they're committed to creating professional and successful artists. I always felt like the process was a consistently high standard you sometimes don't find in other shops. I'm happy my friend Amber is finding success here, she was in her element! She was engaging and relaxed, making sure I was always happy and comfortable. I was nothing but confident with the whole process and the experience was a lot of fun. I am in love with my new tattoo!

After completely losing all the hair on my head, and only 70% of it growing back, i turned to johnny hererra for a consultation on smp . He and i communicated on what would be best and i went his route. After just a couple sessions of restoration of my hairline and filling in spots i was completely satisfied with the results. After the 3rd session i no longer wear a hat and i look like a have a natural shaved full set of hair. If ur looking for smp i definitely recommend johnny hererra to do ur work and u will not regret it!

I had Ricardo as my tattoo artist. He was amazing and very detailed with my eyeliner. This was my first tattoo and it was an amazing experience. It was like being in a doctor’s office...very clean and had individual private rooms. I don’t hesitate to recommend Ricardo for your facial permanent makeup tattoos.

When researching permanent cosmetics I read about the phibrows technique being done at a clinic in LA. They boasted that people came from all over the country to have their brows done. I was shocked and delighted to find we have practioners of this same technique here in Medford. The LA clinic charges upwards of $800. It is worth it at that price but the cost here is far more affordable. My artist was Ricardo, he is so professional & meticulous, he checked with me every step of the way & didn't stop till I was completely satisfied with my brows. The shop is as clean as a doctor's office & their covid protocol gave me the confidence I was getting my tattoos in they safest way possible. I will 100% be back to this tattoo studio & recommend them to anyone wanting permanent cosmetics.

Edit: Johnny was very friendly, studio was clean and organized. The process was lacking for me and I never quite felt heard. They have very focused processes and I highly encourage you to do your research on medical conditions etc or you may be sent away since these are not shared on their website or when making your appointment. I’d also encourage you set up a consult first and be sure you sign up for the right procedure for you since there are things that may or may not be recommended. The bells and whistles and tech with medical questionnaire background looks great, but Johnny wasn’t a skin expert (and therefore refused to color over a discoloration that my dermatologist approved of and didn’t explain that until the procedure was over, which felt unprofessional and is an example of his poor communication) did he understand the reason why some of these medical conditions were a concern (if being diabetic requires a doctors note this should be discussed before the appt in my opinion so one can be secured) Not to be turned away day of service. And the technician should understand why you’d turn someone who is diabetic away other than “protocol”)leaving me less than confident in his expertise. Johnny’s an ‘expert’ and is overly confident in his abilities but lacked the interest and/or communication skills to hear about my desires and concerns and therefore, I got the generic brows he’s used to doing on everyone. I was interrupted several times when I went to ask a question or share my concerns and simply reassured that he knew what he was doing even though I was torn between powder fill and microblading. On my second appointment I discussed a concern with color (and he didn’t even recall which color was used initially then proceeded to tell me he was color blind). For the cost and facial permanent result I have higher expectations. I’ve gone elsewhere for the rest of my touch up and eyeliner tattoos. Had an AMAZING experience with Ricardo today. This shop is AWESOME!!! Ricardo was so informative and understanding with my needs. The shop is so CLEAN, you’d never know they are a tattoo shop. I had the opportunity to meet Jonathan and Jen as well.....ALL AMAZING! My brows were scarred from my last procedure at another shop and Ricardo took the time to break up the scar tissue and didn’t charge me any extra.....said he wants HIS work to look good! Looking forward to my touch up in 6 weeks!! Wish I had known about them earlier. Thank you Ricardo.......you’re the BEST 😁🙏🏻

I would highly highly recommend this place for anything really but micro blading especially! When I first came in for my appointment i was a little nervous, not because I was scared of it hurting but because of it being on my face so if anything were to get messed up it would be there for a while and would be on my face. Anyway any nervousness or negative emotions went away almost instantly when I started talking to Johnny my artist. I quickly realized how professional and knowledgeable He was by the way he went through the entire procedure and the healing process in detail with me and then watching how much work he put in to graphing out my bone structure to make sure everything was perfect. I walked out feeling more confident than ever! Johnny is a miracle worker! I had pencil thin eyebrows and he made them into Full natural looking brows! I seriously couldn’t be happier absolutely love them! super good job wonderful environment!

I came in on Monday for the cosmetic freckles and really enjoyed my experience. Ricardo was super friendly and answered all my questions! I was pretty nervous about getting them done, and am super happy I did! I’m going back to get my eyebrows done later this week, and would go earlier if my schedule allowed! I hardly ever write reviews, and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I would recommend Blu Steel to anyone who asked! Excited to go back and very pleased with my experience.

I highly recommend Blue Steel for microblading. Johnny did my brows and I was super nervous before hand but had checked out all of the pictures they post of their work on FaceBook and I was not disappointed! Very clean and professional with great attention to detail. Highly, highly recommend!
