My sister recently had her eighteenth birthday and had getting tattooed set in her books for a while. She, myself, and our older sister were lucky enough to find ourselves at Oak Grove for that specific occasion. John was amazing to work with! With a quick call to the shop he graciously accepted our walk in, and we were on our way. Truly such an amazing tattooing experience, especially for my sisters first time (she got three in one go!) John did perfect spot on sketches from the inspiration pictures we brought in (simple line work but he went above and beyond). And took time to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Was a pleasure to sit in his chair, chat, and leave with beautiful tattoos and an amazing experience. We both can’t stop admiring our tattoos. Will definitely be back for future work and will always always recommend this shop. They couldn’t be more kind, helpful and welcoming!

Matt is my new tattoo artist. He has fixed a previously bad tattoo I had from someone else, and has given me fantastic new art. He is very light-handed, he did a piece on the top of my foot and it didn't feel like he was tattooing at all. I just got a new one done the other day and the line work and the colors are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Matt, he is so genuine.

I wish I could recommend this place, Matt is a nice guy. My girlfriend and I went for the Valentine's flash sheet deal. Her piece turned out decently, mine did not. I know hearts are difficult, but I can't help but be disappointed with the lack of symmetry, uneven shading and rough line work. We both agree that he is extremely heavy-handed, especially when it comes to shading. Thankfully it's not somewhere that's visible all the time.
