OREGON CITY TATTOO

I came to OC tattoo because I saw Smittys tats online. His work looks well done, clearly he has talent. The person who gave me my tat was a newer individual, not Smitty. I assumed the artistsin the shop wete experienced, and well "seasoned." The tat the individual gave is okay best. I was disappointed that the artist had to look at pintrest and copy an exact idea from pintrest. Im also not impressed with the shading now that it's healed. I've never received shading before, so I wasn't sure how it would look as it healed. Now that it's healed, the shading is mediocre and okay. I plan on going to another artist to fix a few things.

I love this place! Oregon City Tattoo is a tucked away gem for sure. It's clean, it's got awesome vibes, the 2 guys there are freaking awesome, down to earth and really really talented. I wanted this Slipknot goat skull and Pokie definitely delivered. I love it! Going back in a few months for the background. 10/10! ***update 3/4/23 I went in and saw Pokie again to get my tattoo finished and absolutely love it!!! I tried to describe the star I wanted as "metal and scratchy" and he knew exactly what I meant and executed it perfectly. Thank you guys! 🖤🤘

Smitty was able to squeeze me and a friend in for a small matching tattoo. His pressure was light, really took the time to ensure it was the shape and color we wanted. He was friendly (which is rare for most shops) After a bad experience at another pdx shop we were relieved to find him and his skills. We also got to leave a copy of our tattoo outline on the walls

I have been on a journey for about ten years to begin the process of a coverup. I have spent a lot of time learning about what matters to me, what has meaning to me. and what I think will be a great fit. This journey has included time spent with tattoo artists throughout the Portland area. I have come to know the different styles and personalities of the artists in the area. Most have been pleasant experiences but even still I have usually left wondering if the artist and myself are on the same page. I decided to give Oregon City Tattoo a call. Smitty answered and I asked a couple questions which he answered in a very friendly way. I asked if I could drop by and show him what I have been hoping for. No Problem he said. I went in and was greeted by a friendly smile and seemed interested in what I wanted to show him. He was very helpful and listened to everything I had to say about my ideas. He was very open to creating a piece consistent with what I was asking for. His art and ability seem to span a broad spectrum of styles and his confidence was reassuring. He explained his schedule and his timeline and I look forward to what the future has to offer when this time comes to put this art beneath my skin! Ill let you all know how it goes! So, I never followed up on the coverup. However, my son and I returned a year later, 12/14/22, and met Hanz. My son and I decided to get tattoos to celebrate his adulthood and our relationship. Hanz was amazing! He was easy going and very professional. He drew up some ideas and we both got our tattoos done the next day. The experience was top notch. The tattoos are amazing! I completely recommend Oregon City Tattoo! I will be back for more work again soon.

Very cool shop, they have a wall where they put everyone's tattoo art work up on, it's really impressive. The artist and the work they put out is top quality will be going back for a lot more work.

Amazing experience with Josh! This was my first tattoo and yes, I was nervous. Josh put me right at ease answering all my many questions that I had with his welcoming attitude and patience. The shop is very clean and comfortable which also helped ease my nervousness. I will definitely be going to back to him for my next one.
