I would highly recommend the Gilded Mermaid if you are serious about getting an incredible tattoo. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, the artist were all friendly, and the music was good but quiet enough to block it out with headphones if wanted. Betsy was my tattoo artist and she was fantastic! She is an amazing artist and obviously loves her job. She's very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She nailed the placement and the colors of my tattoo. The only issue, and honestly it's not an issue, is that the artists who work here are successful enough to be picky with the tattoos they do. I would recommend checking out each artist's Instagram page and seeing if you like their style before reaching out.

Betsy is truly an artist. I wanted a peony and she not only delivered, she completely blew my expectations out of the water. Her tattooing itself is very gentle and she is a hilarious, kinda, and funny soul. Definitely get on her books!

I was able to book with Chad about 1 month ago. The process couldn't have been any easier. After talking with Chad and seeing what he came up with for my piece it was evident he listened to what I was asking for. The day of my appt I showed up and 12:15 was in chair by 12:30 (appt time) and we were off and running. We had great convos about our careers, music, general life experiences, etc. After about 100min the tat was done. No unnecessary breaks, no uncomfortable feeling that you may have experienced elsewhere in the area (not gonna put down others). But it was easily the best tattoo experience I've had from start to finish. Chad is a stand-up dude who loves what he does and you will know that right away. Im looking forward to some B&G work from him in the near future. TGM is a shop full of positivity and incredible artists and better people! Also remember, tip your artists! Cheers!
