Charlie's Tattoo Parlour

I got my belly button pierced on News Years Day here. The piercing process was good. The man was professional and the place was clean. There was no pain involved. I had no swelling for the first 5 days. However, the swelling started and the piercing started to sink into my skin. I called for some suggestions on what to do and described how far it was sinking. The top ball was almost flush with my skin. I was told that it was normal and when the swelling went down I'd be fine. If I was really concerned, I could put a longer bar in, but it wasn't necessary. I was really concerned with how far it had sunk, so I opted to find a longer bar. They didn't offer any longer bars at their shop, I had to look elsewhere. Luckily I found another shop that did offer longer bars and went in to have to replaced. I found out from the other piercer that my piercing was done poorly. The spacing between the top and bottom ball was way too far apart and a major vein had been trapped between the jewelry. The jewelry was causing a blood flow issue. I had to have the jewelry removed and allow the piercing to heal up so I could be repierced properly. I would not suggest getting a piercing done here.

The shop is very clean and inviting. The artist did a wonderful job! I'm definitely going to be a returning customer.

Charles is cool I like what he's done with my tattoo. He's like not a jerk about it. The first part of my tattoo I was pushing through it but I was obvously in a lot of pain. He's actually the one that said like hey we need to work on this again later rather just letting me push through it. Today he had some sort of different machine that was easier for me to work with. I don't feel uncomfortable in his tattoo shop cause he seems like a cool guy. Some tattoo shops you feel like your going to get punched in the face if you say the wrong thing. Either that or like crazy stuff is going on around you. Everything is kept proffesional at this place nothing is weird or threatening.

Got my Tragus done here yesterday and it was pierced way to far forward to the surface, sadly I’ve had to take it out day after, so today. I called and was denied a refund

I went here for my fourth tattoo, and honestly, this was my best tattoo experience so far! Charlie is an amazing artist. He made this tattoo better than I even imagined. (pic is from a week after getting the tattoo)

Super friendly. Loved the experience! Just got my nose pierced but will definitely keep them in mind for future needs. Would recommend for sure.

He did my helix piercing! It was wonderful he was kind-hearted and was very quick and it was so much cheaper than the other place I was gonna go to that day just down the road! Definitely thinking about coming back for my nose piercing!

This place is awesome! Everyone here is very friendly and the environment is really cool! I’ve been tattooed by both Jenny and Chaz and have never been disappointed! They really know what they are doing and are ready and willing to answer any and all questions. I highly recommend this shop for all your future tattoos and piercings!

Awesome first tattoo

Went in today to get a septum piercing I’ve wanted for sooooo long. The owner (I’m so sorry, I forgot your name) was friendly and personable. The piercing process was clean, easy, and not painful in the slightest. 10/10 recommend. Plus, the atmosphere was inviting, clean, and cozy. Anyways, thank you for your time!

If you are looking for a great shop to get something done then look no further cause you found it! Chaz and Brandy are both great! It is a very clean, comfortable, friendly and professional environment. I have been pierced by both Chaz and Brandy and am currently working with Chaz on a half sleeve.

One of my friends just got a tattoo there and it looks absolutely horrible. The lines are lopsided and the shading looks like something a preschooler did. This tattoo should have taken at least 2 hours and this artist “finished” it in 20 minutes. The worst part is they started with a sketch (which looked good) and completely ignored it when doing the actual tattoo-free styling it into the horrendous version they decided to create. When asking for a refund the artist even laughed in my friend’s face as well. Thank god my friend got their money back. Staying far away from this place. 0/5

Got a tattoo here a few weeks ago while in Rapid City and it turned out absolutely terrible. The “artist” said it would look better in 2-3 weeks LMAO. The shading looks terrible and so does the line work. Where did all of the work in the shop come from because it obviously wasn’t done by the artists who work there. I’d rate this place 0/5 if I could. Steer clear of this place.

Loved it. My Dad and I got our first tattoos here and both of us were impressed. I liked that he worked fast and it came out nicely. Well done.

I’ve been getting tattooed by Chaz since I turned 18. I’m almost 24 now and they are my absolute favorites! Incredibly amazing service and even better artwork! He works very quickly, but doesn’t miss a single detail. If I could add more than 5 stars, I definitely would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been going to Chaz for years and have always LOVED his work. I have had 6 tattoos from him and can’t wait to get more! He is not only a super cool guy, his attention to detail to amazing. I have had him do a cover up that turned out so well that you can’t even see what the other artist messed up, and it was a pretty big fix. It turned out AMAZING!! I couldn’t be happier with it.

I have been getting tattoos from Jenn and Charles for almost 14 years. I first got a tattoo from Jenn at a tattoo show in Nevada and since have only gotten my tattoos from Jenn or Charles. I go where they go. I have even shown my tattoos at tattoo conventions and won awards for the tattoos I have from them. Not only is the shop beautiful but the quality is out of this world. They are both great award winning artists and they do not have the typical big head attitude that so many tattoo artists have. I did have one tattoo I had to get fixed but in honesty it was my own fault. I didn't take care of it and stuck to my shirt... So I took some ink off with my skin... If you want the best you found it. Rapid City is lucky to have gotten these artist to move here and make South Dakota home.

This is a remarkable tattoo studio very clean and friendly atmosphere. Chaz is an amazing artist and was very on point. Couldn’t ask for a better experience !!
