Kristin is amazing! She’s super kind, laid back, and great to talk to! I had a wonderful experience with her! Toby is also great; he helped me find parking and the shop when I got lost! Highly recommend this beautiful studio!

You’d be hard pressed to find a better experience than a tattoo from Kristin! The beautiful historic building is only rivaled by her phenomenal skills! From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome and know you are in very capable hands. The shop is spotless, artfully decorated with her beautiful paintings. Kristin has remarkable attention to detail, and an eye for color pairings. From an email, she was able to fully capture the spirit of my idea, and add tiny intricate details to really make it come alive. She is not heavy handed, nor does she rush. Would definitely return if the opportunity presents itself!

Poor communication not customer focused

Amazing space, amazing artist! I got my first tattoo there just before Father's Day this year and I can't stop recommending them. Kristin was great from the first consultation. Her design perfectly represented the ideas that we discussed. I'll definitely be back for another one!

I found Salt Of The Earth using Google search. I chose Salt Of The Earth based on their 4.9 star Google rating. I have one thing to say. Whomever gave less than 5 stars is clueless. I’ve been tattooed all over the world and I must say, this shop made my top 3 favorite of all time. Kristin was amazing. Her attention to detail is second to none. You’ll pay a little more and it’s worth every dime. I’ll be back when I get back to St. Thomas. 🇻🇮

I started my first tattoo yesterday. The studio is insanely clean and very very nice! The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They were very very accommodating and very patient with my million and a half questions. Kristin does SPECTACULAR work and is very tedious on details. I recommend this studio 110% without hesitation!!!!

Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere and awesome paintings

I was walking in one of those little alley ways in downtown Charlotte Amelie looking for a tattoo place and piercing for earings. I needed to buy earings. When I got there, I walked back into time. This was like walking into a medieval castle. 2 very interesting and beautifully painted paintings were hung on the stone wall, welcoming me up the first flights of stairs, then golden ceiling candles pulled me up the next flight of stairs. I turned right inside in a huge room. This was the artists tattoo studio. She was working on the creation of a tattoo on a client. On the walls are all of her original paintings and some prints. This is not the usual commercial looking tattoo shop. This is a real artist's studio. It seems like a very personalized tattoo studio. I did not see any of her work. Yet her husband, who was very kind and at the front desk told me that she was booked for weeks ahead already. He referred me to an other tattoo and piercing place for my earings.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and got a couple nautical themed tattoos and Kristin absolutely slayed them. The atmosphere was cool. Great chatting with Toby and Kristin. Super clean shop. Cool stuff everywhere you turn. Would love another tattoo as these are our two favorites. My wife got an anchor and bow (amazing) and I got a compass. Come to Halifax NS lol we'd love another!

My husband and I have over a decade's worth of tattoos between us and Kristin is absolutely the best out of all of them. She's great at communicating, streamlines the booking process, and is flawless with her craft (a total perfectionist). Nevermind that the shop is incredibly clean and full of her personal artwork. I'd recommend her work to anyone who is looking for quality over quantity. Looking forward to working with her in the future!!

Salt of the Earth is an absolutely superb experience. The shop itself is beautifully decorated, welcoming, and most importantly clean as an operating room. The whole process from consultation through to after care was well managed and I felt that I had made a great decision in going to this shop. My tattoo was a nearly painless process and it healed beautifully. Working with the artist directly to execute what was in my head was such a fun and warm experience. I can't say enough about Kristin and Toby. The absolute highest recommendation!!

Excellent service, friendly, professional and relaxing environment. Love my tattoo and she worked really hard to get it just right to make sure I loved it. She gave great after care instructions and I would definitely use her again!

Kristin was awesome! My friend and I both got one of her original turtle designs and we love them! The shop is beautifully done and We got to feel the cool tropical breeze as we got our ink.. it was all together a great experience.
