Lilac Tattoo Studio: A Clean, Welcoming, and Safe Space for Body Modifications
Lilac Tattoo Studio is a women-owned tattoo and piercing shop located in Dallas, Texas. The studio is exceptionally clean, welcoming, and safe, providing a comfortable experience for all walks of life and identities. The shop is decorated with pride flags around the front desk, making it clear that everyone is welcomed as soon as they walk in.
The staff at Lilac Tattoo Studio is very welcoming and kind, taking the time to answer any questions you have. They provide a paper that has generalized healing instructions, and they also offer to do a free jewelry change when the time comes to switch out your jewelry. The staff is all women, which helps to provide a sense of comfort to women and feminine presenting people that they cannot normally find in a tattoo shop. The shop is also very open and clear on its mission to make sure everyone is treated professionally and walks out better than they walked in. This means a lot for marginalized communities because they can walk into Lilac Tattoo Studio and know that they will be treated with dignity and respect.
Every artist at Lilac Tattoo Studio maintains a very clean work area, and their setups before tattoos or piercings are done with care. The work areas also have really cool décor in them, and it all works well with the ambiance of the shop as a whole. The artists are skilled and professional, and they take the time to make sure that the design and placement are both perfect.
While some customers have reported long wait times, others have praised the shop's organization during busy events like Friday the 13th flash sales. Overall, Lilac Tattoo Studio is a shop meant for everyone and all walks of life. If you're in Dallas and looking for a professional, talented, and caring tattoo and piercing shop, Lilac Tattoo Studio is definitely worth checking out.

This was my second time at Lilac Tattoo Studio and I will be back! The environment and staff are super friendly and welcoming once you walk in. And the piercing was quick. The studio does give a paper that has generalized healing instructions. Overall I love my piercings and am excited for more!

Have you ever been to a bad tattoo shop? Did the shop make you feel unwelcome, was it dirty, were the staff mean? If you have experienced any of these things do not turn away from tattoo shops yet, let me tell you about the women owned shop, Lilac Tattoo Studio in Dallas Texas. Lilac Tattoo Studio is the best place to get body modifications, they are very clean, welcoming, and safe, and provide a comfortable experience for all walks of life and identities.
Lilac Tattoo Studio’s shop is exceptionally clean, including the ceiling, being dust-free and the bathroom being spotless. This is rare in tattoo shops around Dallas, Texas, so seeing a perfectly clean shop is very comforting. When I was waiting for my appointment, I was looking around and genuinely could not find anywhere in the shop that was dirty. All of the jewelry is organized, and the seating is clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very clean and very aesthetically pleasing. Seeing a tattoo shop be so clean lets me know that the artists that work there truly care about their jobs. The shop had decorations everywhere and even pride flags around the front desk. The pride flags help everyone know they are welcomed as soon as they walk into Lilac Tattoo Studio. I got a piercing there and the room I was in was also very clean and very well organized, it made me feel safe and welcomed. The staff at Lilac Tattoo Studio is very welcoming and kind, they take the time to answer any questions you have. I had some after care questions and before I needed to ask them, I was provided a really cute card that had all the after-care information I could need. They also offered to do a free jewelry change when the time comes to switch out my jewelry. I had a few other people ahead of me to get pierced and one of them was a little girl about 6 years old. She was getting her ears pierced and she was very nervous, every staff member that interacted with her was so kind and by the time she walked into the piercing room sh

Went in today as a walk-in and the wait time was pretty close to what I was quoted when I signed in. I ended up having Jay do my tattoo and they were very quick and made sure I liked everything from design to sizing and placement. The design was pure linework and they were great with it. Definitely recommend this shop and plan to be back!

I went with several friends to get walk-in tattoos over the weekend. Myself and one of said friends have been tattooed at Lilac before and had great experiences. We arrived before opening (noon) to put our names on the waitlist and all four of us were 3-7 on the list. They told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait, which we were perfectly fine with. The hour mark comes around and we get no response or warning that it will be longer than anticipated. It was not until nearly the 4 hour mark that two of us were called up for our tattoos. I had a great experience with Skai and so did one of my friends with a different artist. Our other friends, however, were never called up. We waited for another 2 hours until we finally asked for an ETA. They told us that our two friends were next on the list and it would be another hour max. At this point we had been at the shop for nearly 6.5 hours without any updates on our ETA and had seen multiple people (also walk-ins) come in after us and be seen before any of us. None of our tattoos were particularly difficult (only mine had color) and we felt we were being ignored. We ended up leaving with only 2 out of the 4 of us getting our tattoos. I understand that if a shop takes walk-ins alongside scheduled appointments then there is going to be a wait, but the lack of communication from the workers in the shop was really frustrating. I am sad because I really loved this shop and everyone at it and have some great tattoos from artists working there, but the shop management is just not what it used to be.

Went in for walk ins with a few friends, because their appointments have a $400 minimum. We were there before they open and I was 3rd on their waiting list. We were told it would be a 45 minute to 1 hour wait, but after waiting 6 hours I still had not been called to consult on the tattoo I was wanting. At no point did they communicate to us that the wait would be SEVERAL HOURS. After six hours they called someone who came in after us up, so we asked for an ETA and they told us that it would be about an hour. It would have been fine if they had simply told us that the wait would be as long as it was.

I went to Lilac because of Maddy and will continue to do so because my experience was PHENOMENAL. I had a half idea of what I wanted and Maddy took what I had and made my tattoo better than I could have imagined. She was thorough in making sure the design and placement were both perfect, worked with my existing pieces, and continuously checked in with me to make sure I was doing alright. She is beyond talented and kind and everyone needs to have a piece of her art on them!

Got my first tattoo done here by Maddy. It was an awesome experience, she looked at my reference photos I showed her and made a similar design of her own. I loved it and got it done. She was super sweet and funny and made sure I was feeling ok at all times. I plan to go back and get more tattoos done by her, so I definitely recommend booking with her!!

Clean studio. Nice staff. Only draw backs are how loud it is and there were children screaming for hours. The tattoo turned out great and the price is good.

I have 15 piercings and Leydi has done 12 of them. She’s absolutely phenomenal. I have sensitive ears and I’ve had a few piercings when I was younger that got infected and I had to take them out. She pays a great deal of detail to each of her clients and helps you place jewelry where it’s going to look the best/heal the best for your anatomy. She uses top tier jewelry (which again is going to help those with sensitive ears/skin heal faster) and has been super accommodating when it comes to ordering specific pieces I find on the juniperr website.
I get compliments on how pretty my ear piercings are everywhere I go. The credit all goes to Leydi. She’s taken flat curations my crazy brain has come up with, discussed with me the best places to put each piece, and ultimately brought my visions to life.
She goes above and beyond for her clients constantly. She has squeezed me into a full schedule when I needed last minute help getting a piercing put back in or cleaning a hole I got conditioner in that was on the brink of infection. I’m genuinely so grateful for everything she has done to make sure I have the most comfortable/easy piercing experience.
If you’re in Dallas and looking for a professional, talented, and caring piercer, she’s your girl.

Jay was AMAZING!!!! DMed on Instagram to book ahead of time and when I got there they had my design all printed out in a few different sizes for me to see!
It was quick, the studio is incredibly clean, and Jay was incredibly supportive through the whole process! Will definitely be back for my next piece!

Went during the Friday 13th flash and it was such a professional experience. Got there around 11:30am (they opened at 12pm) and the line wasnt crazy long. There was a sign-in sheet for tattoos and piercings. The wait wasn't that bad, 1-3hrs, depending on when you got there. After the wait, service moved quickly. The flashes were cute and definitely aesthetically pleasing.

First let me say we loved the tattoos we had done by both artist we had, beautiful work. Everyone for the most part was very friendly including the 2 artist we had for the day, they drew up original designs for us using reference photos we provided. Now here is where they lost me, we were there for 7 hours and we didn't get 7 hours of work done, our tattoos were not large pieces at all and not extremely detailed. I am not sure if it had to do with the experience of our artist specifically my wife's artist. We got there when they opened, if you want to come in as a walk in you have to be there before they open or they will fill up quick. We came from out of town and based on their social media I had been wanting to go there for some time now but the wait time and the actual tattooing time was insane to me. So for that reason I am not sure I would return again which kinda makes me sad because again we loved the work we had done. I also would specifically ask what type of work does each artist taking walk-ins does because come to find out the one my wife had doesn't normally do color, maybe they had something to do with the time frame but again 7 HOURS when you know you didn't get 7 HOURS of work done.

I’ve been tattooed at Lilac on 2 of their Friday the 13th events. Both times I’ve had great experiences. You can tell that they really care about their clients and trying to tattoo everyone. My experience this past event was so relaxing. I was tattooed by Syd and it was so low key and chill, exactly what I needed after a long day. I was her 15th person that day and she was still chugging along. I think it’s the most gently I’ve ever been tattooed too so thank you Syd! Couldn’t recommend this studio more!
