Scarlet Tyde Tattoo

My 17yr old granddaughter was tragically killed in an automobile accident the week before Christmas (2022). She loved tattoos and couldn't wait for her 18th birthday so she get her first one. For that reason, I wanted to get a tattoo in her memory. I knew in my mind exactly what I wanted I just needed to find the right shop/artist. After weeks of research and reading reviews, I narrowed it down to Scarlet Tyde. I called ahead and was told I could come right then. Upon arrival, I showed Chance several pictures and told him how I wanted different pieces of each picture plus gave him the EKG strip from the hospital of my granddaughters' heartbeat right before we terminated life support. It was important to me the heartbeat was exactly the same. He took everything I showed him and in a matter of minutes, he showed me a stencil of the tattoo I had pictured in my mind. Chance knew I was a bit nervous so he kept me talking and asked about my granddaughter and was genuinely compassionate. Before I knew it he was done. After some research I came here to get a piece done by Draven and absolutely love it! I cannot stop looking at it- his line work is amazing! the process to setting up my appointment through their site was user friendly and I was able to get a response same day. Everyone there was very nice and respectful and the shop did not look like a traditional tattoo shop, it was so much nicer and welcoming! I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone I know that’s wanting to get something done.

James has created three tattoos for me. He listens to my ideas, we kick it around then he executes. The quality of the work is excellent. Studio is comfortable and clean.

This was such a good experience! I was looking for a place to get a tattoo this weekend, and they were able to get me a same day appointment on Saturday. James was great at taking my idea and adding to it to make a great tattoo! He made suggestions to make sure it was the best piece possible without being too pushy on those suggestions. The place was super chill and doesn’t look like a normal tattoo shop. Will definitely be making an appointment in the future for another one!

James is hands down one of the best tattoo artists in the DFW area. About two years ago I began searching for an artist for black line work and I found James. His attention to detail and ability to make your ideas come to life is truly a special gift.

I had Draven as my artist and he did an amazing job with what I wanted. He was very respectful, understood what I wanted, and did a better job than what I had in my mind. The store itself was very peaceful and calming. I am used to going to tattoo shops that are hardcore looking inside. This store felt like a spa to me. I didn’t want to leave. Everyone there is respectful and chill.
