This is the most professional barber shop that I have ever been to!!! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Even if you don’t have an appointment or know anyone, the staff is friendly and very welcoming. Walk ins are welcomed but if you love the cut like I do I encourage making an appointment with your barber to ensure time dedication to your needs. I’ve been going to my barber Art weekly for 2 years, who’s the most efficient barber I’ve ever been to! He always makes sure you’re looking right before you leave his chair. If you don’t have the luck of having Art cut your hair, any guy in the shop in highly qualified to take care of you. No need to wonder if this guy can cut or not, they all make sure you’re looking good before you leave. Stop in and find your barber who will turn your cut into your weekly must have!!!

I originally scheduled an appointment with them but due to a scheduling error my barber was still working on his last client through my appointment. I was pretty frustrated and left. However, my barber wanted to make it right and I feel like it was handled quite professionally. I got rescheduled for the next day with a discount and a complimentary line up. I was really glad to have come back because it was one of the best cuts I got in San Antonio. The barbers seem very passionate with what they are doing and the inside looked clean and had nice rugged aesthetic to it.

found this place as a walk in, and been going back for the past year and a half. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and if you don't have an appointment they will get you set up with one right away. Unlike most barber shops as a new customer, you dont get that uneasy feeling because they staff is really friendly and actually remember you when you come back.

Great atmosphere and better haircuts

Set an appointment, only to get told I didn’t set one. Then decided to wait, just to get told I have to wait up to 2 hours. Ain’t worth my time here.

I got a tattoo done by Gabe. I'm in love with his artistry and workmanship! He took my vision and exceeded my expectations . Dominic was great also in talking to me and making sure everything was good, his artistry and tattoo work is phenomenal also! The whole shop is a VIBE, clean, comfortable, friendly and inviting!

This is my go to spot anytime I need a haircut or a tattoo, the service has been spectacular everytime I’ve stepped foot into Big Chief. Highly recommend you wont find another barber/tattoo shop like this anywhere!!

The best barbershop I’ve been to in a while. Excellent service and excellent staff. Came in without an appointment and I was sitting in a chair within 5 minutes. Got a great cut and a wonderful cut from Ryan. The store is clean and has a welcoming vibe to it. They take cash and card which is super convenient. I will definitely be back while I’m in San Antonio.

I’ve had 3 tattoos done by Dom. Very satisfied each time. Dom is professional, answers any questions you have, and is a great artist. The studio is always sanitized, clean, and organized. When you walk in, you’ll be greeted by the barbers so if you have a tattoo appointment, just tell them and they’ll direct you. If not, let them know what you need and they’ll get you right! 10/10 service and experience, would definitely recommend Big Chief Barber & Tattoo Studio

Always a great experience! Very professional employees and an inviting atmosphere. Pool table and adult beverages available along with bottled water. Appointments encouraged but not required.

This barbershop is NICE. Clean, loveseats for customers to sit in, adult beverages offered, and all of the barbers can cut. My barber was Dominic. Good conversation, friendly, and a professional with the clippers. Cuts are $30.00 and with a beard trim and razor lining, you're going to pay $50.00 total. So it's not a cheap cut,BUT you will be pleased with the end result.
