Abel is such a great artist there! I started feeling light headed halfway through my tattoo and he and the rest of the staff immediately started helping me, brought me and ice pack, gave me food, and got me water and they were so nice and understanding of it all! Came to store when they opened to get a tattoo or even get on the books. The workers just flopped around not helping. Customer service sucks! But again, who wants customer service when your getting a tattoo. Too bad. Very disappointed and sad that all this "hype" doesn't mean they can interact with you. Follow up - there was no "counter person" to help me. NO ONE showed us anything or offered to help with getting it scheduled. This is the shop by Goombas Pizza, by McFinnegans Pub. The place that SAYS BOARDWALK TATTOOS ON IT. Customer service starts the second someone enters the door. This place is rated top in San Antonio, which I really wanted to experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Just remember, whether helper, artist, manager or owner - EVERYONE plays a part of the whole. I came in right when opening because THAT was how I was advised to get this set up. I hope my unfortunate experience helps someone else to get a better experience. Top rated tattoo shop does not equal top rated customer service; although, it SHOULD.

If I could give Abel and his tattoo shop 10 stars, I WOULD! Abel is extremely friendly and personable; after the first consultation with him, I HAD to book an appointment. The vision that he has for my tattoo is in line with what I am striving to achieve, and I can't wait to see how it'll turn out.
