Stellar Door Tattoo

I was looking online to get a cover up tattoo.. I saw stellar door and sent them a message and within minutes I got an email. Realms and I sent a few messages back and forth and I went in the shop to discuss my cover up (March 4th), Realms said I would receive sketches and drawings before my appointment just in case I wanted to change anything, I agreed and made an appointment (for March 25th) and put down $100 to start the process! I didn't receive any emails and just assumed Realms had an amazing idea. I went in March 25th and Realms had told me the idea and drawing was difficult, so we discussed more, Realms said I had to reschedule (for April 8th). That frustrated me because I expected to start the tattoo on March 25th, but thought I'd give a second chance, and I agreed to send ideas of what I wanted. I sent what I wanted and didn't get any emails, so a couple days later I sent an email to Realms asking if my idea was recieved, and I got no answer. On March 31st just before midnight I receieved an email from the manager, Chelsea (I didn't open the email until the morning of April 1st) saying that the project was going to another artist, Nickhole, and the oustanding work done from Realms would be continued [there was no oustanding work done from Realms].. Nickhole had an opening that day at 1pm, (then not until September.. why would I wait until then if I expected and was excited to start my cover up on March 25th?.. Not on April 1st, then wait five months!) and I had to reply by 11am if I wanted to start the process with her. They knew I had to get childcare, so of course that was way too short of notice. I just asked for my $100 back and will obviously not be returning and do not recommend anyone to agree working with Realms.

Nickhole is awesome! Caring, gentle, and has great music taste. Line work is amazing! The atmosphere is calm and lots of plants

Came in with my friend to get a tattoo today and realms was the tattoo artist and she was so rude to my friend, for no reason. My friend wanted some mushrooms along her collar bone and when we got there the artist didn’t even have anything drawn up for her so we were there for 2 hours while she drew a design directly on my friend, she wasn’t really listening to what my friend wanted and got all huffy and puffy acting like what my friend was wanting was unreasonable. Finally we get to actually tattooing and she’s having my friend lay/sit down with absolutely no neck support, my friend was very uncomfortable and her neck was hurting so she kept moving to try and get comfortable but realms kept telling her to stop moving and be relaxed while making my friend lean her head back and tilt it, which was straining her neck since there was no neck support. I eventually asked if she could possibly lay down because I could tell my friend was very obviously uncomfortable, and realms tried arguing with me on why she couldn’t?? But she ended up letting my friend lay back more and finally had something to lay her head on but of course not without realms being all huffy and puffy about it, and acting like my friend was such an inconvenience for her. Realms needs to be more considerate of her clients comfortability and listen to what her clients want for THEIR tattoo. 🤷🏼‍♂️ my friend won’t be coming back

The best tattoo experience I have had yet by far! Nickhole has such a good soul and is super attentive to making this experience whatever you may need! Their booking and paying process is online and extremely organized. Overall vibe of the place is amazing, and everyone who works there seems like all an around good human. Will definitely be getting more ink from Nickhole in the near future. Definitely recommend Stellar Door Tattoo for all your tattooing needs!

Too bad there isn't a rating higher than 5 stars. This shop is one of a kind! Everything is so interesting and thoughtfully designed. Hands down best asthetic for spooky enchanted forest meets badass art in every direction. And that's just the space! Staff was extremely kind, warm, welcoming, and the work was above and beyond. Color and contrast with great detail. Super aware of both whole design and keeping me comfortable. Spot on for time and cost estimate. Would 10/10 recommend.

Nickhole is an incredibly talented artist and an amazing person. Her art is intricately detailed and she takes pride in a great result. She is open, collaborative and focuses on her clients needs and wellbeing. The shop is a clean, friendly and welcoming environment. This should be the top of your list for new work.

The universe came together and brought a unique compilation of events to happen for this tattoo to even happen. 1. I’m on vacation from Cali 2. Contacted Stellar Door Tattoo 3. A series of emails lead to a cancellation 4. August 1st had the only opening till February 2023 for Nickhole’s tattoo artistry at work. 5. I took the appointment, as it was my 42nd bday. 6. We were on the same page of the type of tattoo and it came out amazing. Nickhole made the experience comfortable and welcoming. It was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had with a tattoo artist. I highly recommend for anyone to go to Nickhole, the owner of Stellar Door Tattoo.

Beautiful little shop tucked into the corner of the clock tower building. Artists are talented, fun, and kind. They really want you to have a good experience. My personal artist is Realmz and I've been seeing her for a long time. Her work is so unique and visionary. Definitely check out her portfolio and flash designs!

Great prices and artistry

Nickhole has been my tattoo artist for years now, she is truly an ARTIST. Her work is beautiful, original, so beautifully thought out. She has an amazing soul, which makes being around her that much better. She explains every detail about after care, which compared to other artists I have been to is super effective. My tattoos heal with no problem when I follow her detailed instructions! Plus she takes cleanliness VERY seriously and everything is consistently sterile and safe. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. You will not be disappointed if you go to her. Worth Every. Damn. Penny!

After going to Nickhole Arcade I now know the difference between a tattoo artist and a tattooer. I am highly impressed by her work and she is a very great person to be around. Which makes the tattooing process so much better, because you don't have someone who is just trying to get through the tattoo as fast as they can, so they make some money. She makes the tattooing experience great, she let me pick the music to listen to, and made conversation through the entire tattoo, keeping my mind off of what was actually happening. Most of the time I forgot I was being tattooed and that is amazing! I can't wait to finish my cover up, she was the first person to ask me what I wanted, everyone else told me what I had to get to cover it up

Biggest shout out to Nickhole! This woman really brought to life everything and more in my tattoo. She helped me create and love the idea to my piece. Very very clean shop, great vibes and overall a very comfortable experience. I would 11/10 recommend this place for anyone in the area. The price is unbeatable with the experience I was provided.
