I was in desperate need of a cover up and Adam at Underground Ink Tattoos in FDL was able to get me in last minute. I decided to use a photo of Franciszek (my 2nd great grandpa) as I’ve always been drawn to him. I can’t wait to see how it looks next week! I’m a fairly heavily tattooed person and have been tattooed all over the United States by 7 different artist. Some good, some bad… Adam Mumpher is hands down the best Artist and tattooer I’ve ever had tattoo me. He not only pulled off an extremely difficult cover up, but I liked his skilled hand, dedication to the craft, and demeanor so much that I decided to get the rest of my sleeve done by Adam. It is a true work of custom art and something I get complimented and asked about on an almost daily basis. Adam works hard to make sure your tattoo concept is tied into an extremely masterfully done piece of art so really listen to what he has to say and trust the process. I also like that he doesn’t spend a lot of time doing Pinterest, or really simple tattoos. He likes to do big bold work and pour his whole creativity into it, and it shows. Just know that when you go to him you will have a custom piece of work that you’ll be proud to wear for the rest of your life. Thank Adam!

The owner actively tries to cover up his bad work and bad reviews. Quite shameful honestly... I can't believe some of the work he has done while calling himself a professional. And also how he charges for a touch-up because he didn't do a good job. He needs to learn about needle depth before he calls himself a professional. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

*Coming from another artist who's been in the industry for 15 years* Underground Ink's rating should definitely be higher than what it is. These 1 star ratings are definitely inaccurate. Adam is most definitely professional and takes his work very seriously. I'm confused honestly to why very few felt they were rubbed the wrong way. And 2 of the 1 star reviews weren't even tattoo related and on a personal level. But Adam definitely doesn't deserve backlash if he's too busy to not address everyone all at once at their own convenience. I definitely give him 5 stars as an artist and as my friend

I have been looking for an artist for a long time to do my sleeve. To me it's very important to select an artist with true artistry that shines through their in work. I was recommended to go and see adam and I could not be happier. The level of attention and detail he puts into his work is amazing. I am entirely appalled at the owners treatment of customers. He has displayed unprofessionalism to the degree I have never heard of from any professional tattoo artist. Unsanitary conditions including having a dog in the shop is entirely unacceptable within the tattooing and body modification industry. If you're not looking for an artist that is unprofessional, looking to do a quick job, and ready to take the money and run regardless of quality, and unreliable, do not go here. The latest work I have seen was shoddy at best, even worse when compared to some of the novice artists I know. It's almost as if he has lost his passion, or just doesn't care anymore. Unbelievable how he can still get customers when he treats his previous customers as he has. Such unprofessionalism should not be seen when he permanently instills sub adequate art upon their skin. I cannot and will not recommend this establishment. If you are looking for tattoos look elsewhere, or at very least do not have Adam Mumper tattoo you.

DO NOT GO TO ADAM MUMPER OWNER OF UNDERGROUND INK❗️❗️❗️ I went to Adam for my first tattoo back in January. He was extremely unprofessional, did very poor quality of work and I am very unsatisfied. I had my appointment booked with a $50 deposit for 3-4 months. A few hours before the appointment he texts me to reschedule. I was not able to do it the next day when he wanted so we compromised on later that same day. During the appointment he said "I might have to go to let the dogs out but I hope not for both our sake". I also found out from his Facebook page afterwards that he changed his hourly rate and did not inform me. Therefore it costed more than he had quoted me. After it was healed I saw I needed a touch up because half was extremely faded, and not clear or crisp whatsoever, there are noticeable breaks in the lines and major depth issues with the ink not being the way it should be. Extremely poor quality as it is right now. So I sent him a picture like he said to and texted him about it the next day after no response to the picture. No response once again. So last week I tried to contact him again. I contacted him throughout the week and no answer. Today I stopped in at underground ink to talk to him. He was extremely rude and said that I am on the waitlist and that it will be at least another 6 months before I can get in for my touch up. I am moving out of state in about 3 months. Now I am stuck and have to attempt to find a different artist that would be willing to do the touch up and pay even more for it. He was extremely unprofessional from the beginning. He was extremely rude today when I went in asking "what do I need a touch up for?". Please save yourself the frustration and DO NOT GO TO ADAM MUMPER AT UNDERGROUND INK ❗️❗️❗️
