The Anchor Steam healing salve is THE BEST tattoo aftercare product I’ve ever used! I first used it after I got a tattoo from Jen years ago, and it worked really well. Even though I don’t live in Rhode Island anymore I still order the healing salve for all my tattoos. It has shortened my healing time and the tattoos look great after using it! (Also Jen an amazing artist and the tattoo she did is still my favorite!)

Such friendly staff! I got a tattoo there 18 years ago (still looks amazing) and I brought my daughters there for one’s 18th birthday. Both girls were nervous but they were treated so well and their first tats look beautiful. Great prices. Awesome environment.

Luke and Hannah were beyond amazing. I went to Newport for a bachelorette weekend and we had a full itinerary planned including a couple of hours set aside for “bride’s choice”. Well bride decided we were all getting matching anchors so we set off to find a tattoo shop that could accommodate 6 walk ins immediately. After a few phone calls with no answers we happened upon Anchor Steam Tattoo Gallery. We all figured this was a good sign since the bride had wanted an anchor. We called and we were told if you can get here now we can make this happen. We drove right over and we were greeted by the lovely Hannah. She helped us all get settled, papers signed and introduced us to our artist Luke. Luke was patient and kind and meticulous. He was a perfectionist who made sure each of us were more than happy with our location and size. He was gentle and attentive and made sure to ask how were were doing even though the tattoo was all of an inch or two big and had previous tattoo work done. While some of us were waiting for other friends, we had the pleasure of hanging out with Hannah. Hannah was personable and made us all feel at ease. At one point someone in our party started to get a migraine and I mentioned oh I wish I had peppermint oil. She instantly said she had some and took her own bottle out of her bag and let our friend use it. She turned down the lights and asked if there was anything else she could do. While we were leaving Hannah made it a point to offer her bottle of peppermint oil to us and said she had 2 others for herself and would love to share this one with us. We left there feeling like we just had an incredible memory as a group of friends , but also that we were so lucky to have this memory with the great people at Anchor Steam

Jen is fantastic! When I got the drawing for my tattoo cover up it was beyond what I was picturing. Her work is amazing. I love my tattoo. A month later and I am already thinking of my next cover up.
