I wanted to share a review in regards to Lance bc I feel like I don't see enough reviews for him. I have started a journey of having my sleeve done by Lance and I can not say enough good things about his work. He has taken the time to go every little detail with me and with patience. His artistic work is amazing and I love that I am a walking advertisement for his art work. I have seen first hand work from everyone in this shop and I know for sure I made the right choice by go here for my art work. Lance puts so much into details and that is exactly what I wanted. I can not say enough about Lance and the fantastic job he has done and still doing for my sleeve. If you are in doubt of coming to this shop for work I can honestly say Just do it!! it is well worth it and you will not regret it at all. You may have to wait a little bit to get in, but as you all know the best things are worth waiting for. This shop is always clean and respectful and soothing. I will definitely get ALL of my work done from Lance for sure.

Came here because of the reviews and word of mouth. I am new to the area from Texas and it’s always a hassle to find a great studio like to call home, I prefer to stay at one place. I am so glad I came here and have definitely found my home. It’s clean, the people are great, the atmosphere reminds me of the islands which I loved right off the bat being stationed on Oahu for 3 years, it’s relaxing, my artist was superb in capturing what I wanted, and Binsleys work is on point. Thank you for that, this one means a lot to me. So happy I decided to come and do a consultation and I look forward to the many appointments down the road.

I HIGHLY recommend Studio 22. The shop gives off a true beach vibe that feels so happy, it’s clean well lit and everyone’s so friendly. Brinsley did my tattoo today and she went above and beyond my expectations. So thankful I found her and this cool shop! I will definitely be back!

[tl:dr - great, clean shop filled with talented artists, best choice in state] Todd Wilson has been my tattoo artist and friend for more than a decade. His shop is the cleanest and best maintained in the whole area, if not state (and far better than the shops I have visited in NJ). He excels in both color bomb and portraiture, but has reached into many styles with ease. We make a pilgrimage from NJ to SC, to sit for upwards of 9 hours a day, making a standing appointment every year. The 12 hour drive and wait is worth it for something that will be on me for my whole life.

The healing process is been smooth, with barely any rough patches even on a piece that is 8 hours straight, and healing is complete in less than 2 weeks. Proper aftercare is still totally necessary, but when you can shave over a new tattoo in 2 weeks, you have seen an skilled artist.

Lance, the newest to Studio 22, is quite talented and able to take walk-ins some days; he has a shorter wait-list (but don't let that fool you, he is still a great artist especially on one-shot pieces).

The photos I include are only some of the great pieces I have gotten since he opened this shop (though the dog is on my husband and not me, I include it because I love that he captured out girl so well).

If you are not willing to wait or pay for art that will look great and last for your lifetime, you are making a poor decision. His appointments book out, but there is a waiting call list if you have the time to be stand-by. Or try Lance, you won't be disappointed.

Can't say enough positive things about the shop and my artist, Brinsley! Clean, professional, nice, listens & light handed! Worth every penny!!

I saw on their website "appointments only" so I called another shop first, as I was only in town for the day but no luck there. So hesitantly I called Studio 22 and was kindly welcomed in by Brinsley. She said my artist would be Lance when he returned from lunch. I was on a time crunch (they were unaware) but he returned in a timely manner. As he was eating, I emailed my idea and Todd helped him get the text together. The shop was inviting, bright and very clean! I felt heard and validated with my tattoo idea. No one tried to change my mind, like I've experienced at other shops! Even though this is an hour drive, I will be back! I've already had many friends ask about my tattoo and want to visit as well! Thanks for the awesome experience!

Todd is worth the wait for sure!! Bar none, some of the best work in the upstate. His shop is super clean with a very friendly atmosphere. He is finishing up my right arm sleeve where he has had to correct some old work from another artist from a different studio. And the way he has been able to blend everything into my sleeve as a whole is amazing!

His Daughter and brother also do amazing work as well if you can’t wait the length for Todd. I’ve seen where it’s a shorter wait to get a spot with Brinsley or Lance.

Best experience at a tattoo shop ever! Very clean and professional. Todd did a coverup on my previous tattoo and it turned out super awesome!!! If you want a great tattoo, do not waste your time with anyone else. I have been to several in the past and no one has done better work !! Thanks again Todd!
