Safe House Tattoo Studio

Just got a tattoo here, and was SUPER pleased. It was my first tattoo. I got some small text on my ankle. I have a preeetty ridiculous needle phobia, but the artist, Russ, was super accommodating and nice. He didn't make me feel bad at all. When I nearly passed out, he waited till I felt better to continue, and gave me some homemade oatmeal cream pies someone had left in the studio. He couldn't have been a nicer, more genuine, cool dude to have sticking needles into your flesh.

The studio itself was warm and inviting, with artwork and photos all over the walls. It almost felt like a cool coffee shop cum tattoo studio. It felt very clean, and I'm sure was technically sterile, but it didn't have a sterile, cold feel to it at all.

I will most def be back for my next tattoo, and I'm requesting Russ...though all the guys who work there are super cool and laid back.

I recently got tattooed by Chip Harbin after seeing his incredible work on Instagram. The shop is located in a vintage building near downtown and the inside was clean and inviting. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Chip had about a 3 month waiting list, but it was well worth it. He's crazy talented. He really involved me with the design and you could tell he was very passionate about his art and making it a unique experience for me. I highly recommend Chip!

Very clean, professional, and timely. I didn't really know what to expect with my first tattoo experience, but I can't imagine there could be a better experience! I would highly recommend this Studio.

In my opinion, this is the best tattoo shop in Nashville. I've only worked with Ian (6 pieces since they've opened) but have also gotten to chat with and/or see work from the entire crew. They're all solid artists, solid people and create a very welcoming environment to get tattooed in. I simply have no reason not to continue frequenting this shop.

One of the coolest experiences of my life... These guys are amazing. Refreshingly focused on not only your tattoo, but you as a human being. They are incredible people, with an equally impressive approach to welcoming you in and supporting your vision for what you want on your body.

Fantastic experience at the studio. Everything was clean and the staff was quick and very inviting. Nathan did my tattoo and knocked it out of the park. but I don't think you can go wrong with anyone there.

I got tattooed by Chipper, and it was a great experience. The shop is clean, laid back, and in a cool location just outside of downtown. Chip worked with me to develop a piece that fit both my idea and his very unique style. My husband sat with me since we were in from NY, and he really enjoyed hanging out with Chip and his coworkers as well during the session. It was really a pleasure.

Upon arrival I was promptly greeted by Ian White for my appointment. Ian showed me the sketch he had prepared and suggested we start the new ink. The shop is very clean and inviting and hands down the best atmosphere I have experienced in any shop located in Nashville. Ian and staff were extremely nice and professional. My sitting lasted well over 3 hours and there wasn't a lack for conversation or entertainment. I was more than pleased with the quality of work and will return soon for more. So far I've gotten pieces done by Christopher and Will, and I'm incredibly satisfied with the quality of work, very quick response time when emailing about design concepts, and the overall welcoming and inviting atmosphere I've received each time I come by. Everyone is super friendly and I definitely plan on coming back again! I highly recommend Safe House!

Ian White is absolutely amazing at what he does!! Safe House is the perfect little tattoo shop. It has the most welcoming and comforting vibe! All of the artists are super friendly and great! If you are looking for talented artists and a great experience look no further.
