Sacred Art

Ive collected several tattoos throughout the years and my tattoos that were done by Brad at Sacred art hold up better than all the rest. I Live in Tennessee now but still have alot of friends and family in Abilene and when they ask me where to go for a tattoo I tell them to go to the best.....Sacred Art. I cant wait to get back there and get another tattoo from the skilled artists that work there!!!!

Don’t ever get a tattoo at this shop if they have apprentices doing the tattoo(s). I had gotten a tattoo by an apprentice and the end result was a bad one. The tattoo was worse than the original drawing of the tattoo. The tattoo was crooked. The lines were wobbly and not straight. I had an appointment to get another tattoo by the same apprentice on the weekend. I didn’t call or anything to reschedule, but that same day the apprentice had to cancel because something came up and wasn’t gonna be able to do the tattoo. So I don’t get to get my money back for the tattoo I haven’t even got. That’s BS Sacred Art.

So I went this past Friday to get a tattoo done that was very very simple. I allready had the image I wanted it just needed a tiny alteration. I called and spoke to Jared and explained to him what I wanted and he said to come by the shop. My wife and I went by there and I showed whom I'm guessing was Jared the image which was a combination of the Batman and Wonder Woman symbols. All that was needed was a small black triangle at the bottom for the bottom of the bat symbol. Immediately he started going off about how he was going to have to draw the entire thing out (which was not true cause I had the image on my phone and could have just emailed it or texted it to him) and that meant he would have to be there all night. He asked if we could come back another time. I told him that I really wanted this done at that time cause I work crazy hours. He kinda huffed a little and then asked me where I wanted it and I told him on the side of my calf. He immediately told me it wouldn't look good there and that it NEEDED to go on the back of my leg. I said I wanted where I told him and he kinda rolled his eyes and said it wouldn't look good there and that his JOB was to make it look good. He then asked if I wanted anything other than what I asked for. I said "no this is what I want and I want it right here, it's a very simple tattoo." He just wasn't listening to me and kept going on about if we did this tattoo it would take all night. I then asked for a price and he said "$200 - $250". WHAT!!!! So I asked if that included the 50% off for Fathers Day specials I saw on this page and he said "No, that's just the owner and his wife." The name of the page is Sacred Art not the owner of sacred art's page. We immediately left and found a tattoo parlor that worked with what I wanted and where and took about an hour to do everything including added the small alteration to the picture. He told me it was way simple and that it's the kind of stuff you have an apprentice do and that he couldn't believe that I was done that way. And he did it for way less. I will NEVER step foot into this shop again or recommend it to others. It was the worst experience I've ever had.

Owner was cool when I went to see about finishing out a piercing apprenticeship with them. Everything was cool until I had some personal stuff come up before I was supposed to come in and couldn't do it. The piercer, Kevin, called a shop I had worked at and gave them the wrong name, so they had no clue who he was talking about. He then proceeded to call me a liar and try to rub my name in the dirt. He is a liar. He had lied about previous employment, who he apprenticed under, and his standing with the APP.
The artists at this shop seem cool but I would never recommend Kevin Bostick as a piercer, or employee. I'm only giving 3 stars because the artist were nice to me and the shop itself was clean and nice.

I came for a nose piercing not a tat so I'm not giving a review based on anything but the piercing. A girl came to the front and gave me a paper to fill out and told us they charge $20 for a nose piercing and then about 10 minutes later a guy comes to the front and asks for my drivers license and then tells me to follow him back. He said HE charges $30 like everyone there makes up their own personal prices or something and he never introduced himself and told me he was in the middle of getting a back tat when I walked in. He seemed pretty chill and laid back singing along to the radio and getting his stuff together like gloves and needle and stud. After he gets his gloves on he pulls his phone out and starts texting and then puts it back in his pocket. That was the first thing that bothered me because now his gloves are not sanitary. He then puts the needle in and says immediately after "I hate this part." obviously I was like great he is not confident in what he is doing at all.. He then goes on to tell me that he is having baby mama drama and his phone is blowing up and he was just in the middle of getting a back tattoo and then he grabs not 1 but 3 paper towels and has me hold it under my nose 1 by 1 because I was bleeding so much and kept saying how he is going to have to do it again and I was like no I think I'm done I can't handle anymore because I was on the verge of passing out. He had me sit there so long that when he pulled the needle out and cleaned inside my nose with a q tip that when he pulled it out a blood clot had already formed inside my nose. He just kept saying sorry and towards the end he was shaking so bad. I know he meant well but he needs to be better trained because he was not professional or confident in what he was doing at all. I'll never go back there for piercing again.

This shop is the best in Abilene and surrounding area . I love the art and the effort that all of these guys put into their work. All of them. Brad..Ian.. Sean.. and Raleigh.. I will never go anywhere else. It I'd also a good atmosphere and they are genuinely good hearted guys.

Koda is my artist! She’s amazing and I love her! Seriously one of if not the best in town! She took my idea and turned it into reality!

O only let Brad do my artwork hes very very great at detail. Hes also the sweetest guy youll ever meet. I dont knowb the other tattoo artist but hes always very kind to me too. I also got all my facial piercings here except my nose which was a bad idea to get at Ink Station. Brads prices are always fair, and iREALLY appreciate that he alows a guest to come back with you. Eases the stress when you have your companion or best friend around.
The shop itself is very nice and not cluttered or dirty. The people who go in there as customers are also very nice, a lot of guys are from the base which is cool.
Anyway I would recommend this place always. Especially if you are like me,b and thus was your first actual tattoo. Some shops and their owners can be intimidating, but this place is breezy.
