Awesome first time tattoo experience! Mike made my first tattoo better than I could have expected it to be. I gave him a very general idea, and he transformed it into a whole piece of art and added more intricate details than I even imagined. His shop is very clean and he makes the one-on-one experience amazing. He gives you all of his attention during your session, and is very responsive and follows up on your healing process. You can really tell how much he enjoys tattooing and how his years of practice show in his work.

I can’t say enough good things about this studio. Mike is an artistic genius. I can come in with a half-formed idea and he turns it into a work of art. He blows my mind every time. Mike is talented, intelligent, professional, and so easy to work with. His studio is clean, safe, and has a comforting feeling of home. The price point is not excessive. It’s exactly what a good quality tattoo should cost. I have five tattoos from Mike already and I will definitely be going back for more. If you’re looking for an amazing tattoo studio, this is your place. You’re not going to find anyone better.

Quality, creativity, and professionalism are hallmarks of Mike and Arthouse Tattoos. After a beautiful upper back mandala lotus, I knew that I could trust Mike to personalize a blossom branch dedicated to my husband. During an in-depth consultation, he promised a gorgeous Japanese design and he delivered. The tattoo he painted (yes, they look like brushstrokes) is second to none. In addition to working with the curves of my body, he chose colors that will look outstanding today and for years to come.
I can't imagine choosing anyone else for such permanent and intimate artwork.

I got a piece of art from Mike about 2 years ago. It healed very well, and I continue to get compliments on how clean the lines are and the richness of the color. Mike is truly an artist. The best part was his individual attention when I went to his shop. He was patient and helped me pull the design out of my brain. I felt comfortable and "heard" by him, where as that had not been the case in other shops i had visited. I came to Arthouse Tattoo as a new widow for a memorial tattoo. Mike did an absolutely amazing job and elevated my idea to a true piece of art.
This unthreatening shop is clean, intimate and very inviting. As an introvert I appreciate that the shop is set up to only service 1 client at a time. I also appreciate that Mike it the type to not push small talk if you're not in the mood, but is easy to talk too if you're feeling a bit chatty.
If you're looking to walk-in and get a quick piece of flash, this isn't the place for you. But Mike is a consummate artist who is easy to work with and if given a little creative freedom, will deliver something beyond your dreams.

Just finished my 3/4 sleeve here! Mike has been professional in every way. He is very passionate about his work, and always goes above and beyond to create beautiful pieces. He is super knowledgeable and particular about the way he tattoos. You can rest assured knowing you’ll get an amazing piece of work here, and not something you’ll want to ever remove. You seriously do get what you pay for with Mike. Strongly recommend!

One of the best tattoo experiences I’ve had and I’m no stranger to the ink. With over a dozen tattoos under my belt, I can say you get what you pay for. Mike was professional, friendly and worth every penny! I had a vision to have my cat made into a Maneki Neko (lucky cat) on my arm. Mike made this dream come true with exceeded expectations. It is no surprise that I have been stopped several times for this beauty. His work speaks for itself so if you’ve scrolled through his photos, you can see he is extremely talented.

Let’s talk about the atmosphere though. Every time I walked in it smelled familiar. My family would always burn incense growing up and it was a comforting aroma. The music was everything! I’ve had tattoo experiences with no music playing and this can make me a bit too chatty. Although we did have some great conversations, I was also able to just mellow out and listen to some chill groovy jams.

I loved my experience at Arthouse Tattoo. From the very beginning Mike took an idea I had and turned it into something beautiful. He was super friendly and always made sure that I was comfortable throughout the tattooing process.

Mike was great to work with through the entire process; from designing the sleeve art based on the ideas I had in mind to being flexible with scheduling. The work itself is incredible, I get compliments all the time.
The studio itself is a great setting for tattoo work, very welcoming and private.

Great, calm, and private atomosphere. Mike is very knowledgeable in world history and tattoos and makes a good cup of coffee!
