Offering the brightest and boldest tattoos in a modern, clean, friendly and sterile environment. The shop consists of AJ Maloney, Eric Solis, Max Klapp, James Shepherd, Jeremy Cook, Royce Williams, JD Rodriguez and a revolving door of guest tattooers from all over the world. We offer a wide variety styles such as bright traditional American, realistic black and grey, large and small scale Japanese, bold tribal or any tattoo idea you may have, large or small. Even though appointments are preferred we will happily take walk-ins"

I got all three of my tattoos at Black dagger and I have never been dissatisfied. They have wonderful customer service and AJ works very fast and very well. He did a tattoo that should have taken an hour in 30 minutes. They are honest with you on prices and do not over charge. I love this place and will never go to anywhere else for tattoo work.

I got a stingray tattoo on my foot by TC and he did an amazing job. They offer lidocane for numbing though I couldn't have it due to allergies, they put up with me any ways. The shop is really cool and a lot of fun. The people there all have good attitudes and vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back.

I have been going to AJ Ruin for a few years. His work is incredible: I have really bright, vivid reds and oranges and blues in my tattoo, and the colors have stayed even and vivid. AJ is extremely punctual and professional with his appointments. He is a brilliant artist who knows the tattooing medium really well. He always discusses my idea with me and has valuable input on how the designs can best be put to skin.
The new shop, Black Dagger, is awesome. It's a great location, and the atmosphere is wonderful: very clean, great art everywhere, good music. I'm looking forward to coming back for more work soon.

In the city of Austin, you have a plethora of choices when it comes to tattoo shops. But honestly, why would you go anywhere besides Black Dagger??? I've been tattooed by Jesse several times, and have followed him from shop to shop (yes, he's just that good). I trusted Jesse enough to take my son to him to get his first tattoo. All the guys at Black Dagger are so friendly and funny. This place is super professional, while still keeping it light and fun. Hands down, best place in Austin if you want to get a tattoo.

Yesterday I came in and got a tattoo from TC. The shop was very nice and it was all around a very fun and friendly vibe. TC does amazing work and Iām very happy with my new tattoo. I will 100% recommend this shop to each and every one of my friends interested in getting a new tattoo.

In my opinion, a good tattoo artist will give you what you want, but a great tattoo artist will give you better than what you asked for. TC Hatch did an amazing job finishing an older tattoo of mine with some roses that were a perfect cross between modern and traditional style. The atmosphere is chill, the people are cool, and most of all, they don't try to rip you off. Would definitely recommend this place!

I've been tattooed here by Jesse three times and Eric twice and I can honestly say this is my favorite shop in Austin. Very clean and inviting space and all the guys that work here are super friendly, funny, professional, and very talented (not to mention they're all pretty darn cute). Most recently, Jesse did a large folk dragon piece on my thigh, 3 sessions and they seemed to all go by very quickly. The colors have healed extremely vibrant and the linework is superb. I get compliments on it every single day, it is by far my favorite piece. Jesse is extremely talented and has become my go-to guy. The first time I was tattooed here was by Eric when he was still apprenticing and I am very happy with how that piece, a grim reaper with a cool little gold tooth, turned out. He also did a really cool panther/butterfly above my knee that I always get compliments on. I'm getting tattoed by AJ sometime in the near future and I am very much looking forward to it. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for superb work from some really rad dudes.
