I had my dog portrait tattooed by Catherine. From the consultation all the way down to the tattooing, she was transparent and thorough with her art. She worked with me, to the best of her ability, during COVID-19 and kept in contact since March and because of the government shut down she continued to keep me posted about the design from her home. I have seen nothing but beautiful work and tattoos from Catherine. Not only is she brilliantly talented, she is down to Earth and pleasant to work with. Please consider her for your next animal or pet tattoo!!!

This is the best tattoo shop in Austin by far. I was really reluctant to get tattooed in a pandemic but after visiting I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The shop is insanely clean! All the artists are super friendly and down to earth. They create amazing work and are very professional. Kira bishop is the best tattoo artist in Austin!! The owners are really friendly and down to earth. They took my idea and did so much more than I expected. Booking was super easy and honest. Great for your first tattoo as well since they walk you through the whole process. Parking is great compared to other shops in downtown. Just all around great experience. Will definitely be going back again soon!

I was tattooed by Nika and she truly was the best! Not only was the room clean and inviting (because that DOES make a difference) but she made sure I was 100% comfortable and at ease once I arrived. She listened to what I wanted and came up with the most beautiful drawing. She was communicative throughout the process and kept checking on me. I am so happy with how it turned out. Dovetail as a studio is professional and the vibe is just generally positive. I’ve often felt that in other studios there is a judgmental or unfriendly vibe - Dovetail is the opposite. Love them and would recommend them always!

Catherine is my tattoo artist, she’s worked on me twice and will be my permanent go to artist. Did my research on artists and found her on IG. Love her work and her style. I love working with her, she listens to your ideas and makes any suggestions. She’s considerate, asks if I’m doing ok and if need a break during the session. The place is clean and practicing social distancing. I can’t recommend her enough, she’s a great artist, great into detail and on top of that she’s an awesome person!!
