Nates work is second to none & speaks for itself. I’ve been getting tattooed by him for some time now & would travel to another country if I had to for that level of artistry..Austin is truly blessed to have one of the greatest black& grey artists of all time in its back yard, Vice & Virtue is high end, super clean, and in a great location. The other artists there are real deal too, I highly recommend getting on the V&V schedule!

Mingo and V/V was an absolutely amazing experience for a first-timer. The process started with Lauren via email and I was able to convey the art I have been dreaming about for years. I booked an appointment with less than a 3 week lead-time. Other quality artists either had no interest in helping me OR had 6 month waits (which is insane, no one has that demand, they are simply reducing their schedules). When I arrived the location is a tiny sketchy due to the homeless camps, however do not be concerned, the parking lot is fenced and nice, no one bothered me. Cameras watch the lot all day so you do not need to worry about your vehicle or belongings. The building is very clean, simple and professional. Modern music is playing via Spotify - depending on your flavor of choice I am guessing they would change the music (90's Rap is always fun from my younger years).
Mingo took and ran with a piece that was extremely detailed and was a full half sleeve St. Christopher portrayal. He started on time (early actually) and explained the process. In total it took over 8 hours to completion. He was open to when I needed to get up and stretch my legs and never appeared offended that I wanted to listen to an audio book. He was extremely friendly when we chatted throughout the day. The all-day rate gives a little reduction in cost, which is a sizable investment. When wrapping up he even conveyed he didnt expect a tip (of course I still did, I was just unclear on the norms pertaining to amount/percentage).
I will 100% be back years down the road as the piece came out absolutely amazing. I will upload a photo to this review once it is healed up. Mingo for the win and Nick's shop is amazing.
