I love this shop! I get all of my piercings done here and they have been amazing. I decided to get my tattoo done by Matthew and he did not disappoint. It was exactly what I asked for and then some! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone.

Ive been looking to get some work done soon and I just moved to Dallas. I can't give a review of their work- but I can say that me being a naive tattooless guy I am hesitant on who I can trust. I had the privilege of waiting tables on their staff and they were very kind and genuine. Im happy to say this is a place and a staff I feel excited about coming to and getting honest feedback and pricing on my tattoo.

Char and her formidable team of expertly skilled, trained artists run an amazing operation at Gold Dust Tattoos. The shop boasts a wide variety of art styles in their portfolios, so you're sure to discover something to make that tattoo you've always wanted come true. Speaking from a first-time experience with these guys, Roque Mendez worked tirelessly to make an elaborate, large sunflower mandala hip tattoo covering a gnarly scar take on a life of its own. Excellent place, people, work they do. Check 'em out.

Brandon Stringer has been working on my back for months, he has put his heart, soul, and mind into creating this dreamland of oceans and sunsets with an incredible rainbow and blue birds, not to mention the arrangement of assorted flowers up the back of my neck♡ I wouldn't recommend another shop on Greenville Ave. to do a better job! Another note, the entire staff are the most friendly bunch of artists I have encountered in a single shop! Couldn't be happier with this location!

I found Gold Dust Tattoo's on Google/Yelp after scouring through all the Dallas tattoo salons that had a rating of 4 stars or higher. As a tattoo virgin, I was following all the advice on the internet of researching and checking up on where I wanted to get my first tattoo done. I sent emails to about 5 of the "best shops" in the area; Gold Dust was the only one who actually responded.
All the reviews are spot on; this place is clean, classy, and very fairly priced. Joe the "apprentice" set me up with Zachary Matthews, who is one of the go-to's for walk-ins and first timers. Right from the beginning, I was very impressed. He had me email my design ideas, being as detailed as possible, and came up with an original design that I was highly impressed with. Came back about 4 weeks later (they are BUSY, and many of the more senior artists are by appointment only), got stage one of my tattoo done in about an our and a half and am going back again in another 4 weeks to complete the design.
Zach took special care to talk me through the entire process, from design and placement to aftercare. All of their equipment is stile and clean, and he was especially careful not to touch anything with his gloves after starting the process. He talked with me the entire time, and they always have a movie or cartoons going to keep you distracted.
I'd read in another review that their aftercare procedure is a good one, and I can vouch for this. It's been a week now and I have don't have any scabbing or redness, and Zach made sure I knew what to do before I left.
Will post the final picture once the design is done, but right now Gold Dust Tattoo is my number one to recommend, and Zach is a great artist to work with.
Update: got my tattoo filled in! Really love how everything turned out and the final product is gorgeous. High quality art by Zach Matthews.
Pro tip - if you can take the time go on a weekday. my first appointment was on a Monday and it was very chill and quiet; second one was on a Saturday and it was very busy. Lots of walk-ins or people asking questions. Just goes to show how popular they are! Make an appointment ahead of time if you are doing anything complicated, or if you have a simple design be prepared to possibly wait a bit for an available artist.

Got a nose piercing here awhile back, and had to ask for aftercare because I was not given it. Was told to use soap to clean it, and it got infected by the next morning. Was really disappointed and hope nobody else has to go through that or develop a keloid due to poor care instructions

First time experience going there..Staff is very friendly. Got my tattoo done by Zach Mathews. He's a very patient guy and my tattoo came out very well. Definitely would recommend this place, as well as the other artists. They're all great!

Gold Dust is a very professional, clean, and friendly place. They make sure you are comfortable and relaxed the whole time. There is a variety of art styles working there to choose from. They go into detail with the after care process. I highly recommend Gold Dust especially for your first tattoo because it is a great experience to base any future tattoos on.

I got my first tattoo from Char today and I couldn't be happier. She did and amazing job and even though it was a small tattoo, she did not rush it. You can see her great passion for what she does. Her shop is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend her. You can rest assured she will do my next piece.

I got both my tattoos from Gold Dust. Matt McGarth did my most recent one, and he was amazing!! He is a great artist, and he made the whole experience so enjoyable. All the employees are super kind, helpful, and professional. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, you should definitely go to Gold Dust.
