Highly recommend Rebel Muse, and Ashley Griffin in particular. The only thing I could have improved on was the seat itself.
I dropped in for a consultation, and Ashley listened actively, took notes, and asked all the right questions. The shop was very clean and well-lighted.
Two weeks later, I was in for an all-day session. We spent some time reviewing the actual design and making small refinements, then the stencil was applied.
I was surprised by the pain, both in how much it hurt, and how much less it hurt than I had anticipated. However, I have a *serious* needle phobia, and I knew when the sweating started that my blood pressure was dropping. Ashley was extremely patient and gracious and gave me time to recover. I found that it was not enough, personally, to just listen to music or an audiobook, did much better when I could give my eyes something to do, too, to keep imagination at bay. Made it through the rest of the six hour sitting without an issue.
Those tattoo chairs are not friendly (but the pillow Mike gave me sure helped). This is probably a challenge across all tattoo shops, but my experience is limited to this one. Take your own pillow if you will be there a while!
Ashley was quick, friendly and professional. What was supposed to be a two-session tattoo was finished in just one long session. The small bits of color she added in the eyes makes the rest of the grayscale pop, and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve already scheduled the next tattoo with Ashley!
