Highly recommend this studio! I walked into Welcome Stranger a few days after an unpleasant experience at another local shop that resulted in me not getting a tattoo. Nacho took the time to speak to me and recommended Thomas for the piece I was describing. A few weeks later and I now have my first tattoo ever, a gorgeous mermaid and anchor that is a perfect tribute to the guys I stood watch with in the Navy. Thank you so much Thomas and Nacho!

Solid tattoo studio with great energy. I had an appointment here with Jackson for a tattoo on my leg and I really love the piece he created for me. My artist was professional, kind, and lighting fast! The shop it self is unique and clean with a large open space that doesn't feel cramped. Everyone was nice from greetings to goodbye's and I will totally come back again.

I had breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy. From the moment I knew that I would hav breast reconstruction, I began researching tattoos that would cover my scars. Although I knew that no one would see them except my husband and I, it was important to me. I didn't want that reminder every time I looked in the mirror. I found Nacho through a referral from a referral. We had a consultation and I was immediately confident that she would give me exactly the tattoos that I wanted. I showed her pictures of the style I wanted and then I found a picture of tropical hibiscus flowers that I loved. On tattoo day, she had drawn 2 designs and I picked the one that I liked best. I was given the option of doing it all in one day or breaking it into two. I was so determined and had looked forward to it for so long, that I opted to do it all that day. I have to say that I could not be happier with my tattoos! The are so gorgeous and totally cover my scars! Nacho is very caring and empathetic. This was one of the last steps in a very difficult and emotional healing process. Nacho was the perfect person for this step of my journey. She is a truly gifted artist!

As a woman, I have encountered uncomfortable situations at tattoo shops but not at Welcome Stranger. Andy was super friendly and professional. He’s an excellent artist and gave me the best tattoo! The shop even provides free Topo Chico which I think is such a nice touch. I can’t wait to go back for more tattoos!!

I would recommend Nacho @ Welcome Stranger to anyone! Especially first timers. I was super nervous and Nacho was so kind and understanding. Honestly, getting micro bladed eyebrows was 10x worse than my rib tattoo. You can tell she loves what she does and really cares about her client. She didn’t rush me at all and chimed in with good suggestions/tips. The place itself is super clean and very unique. Not at all scary or daunting. Everyone seemed really chill. More record shop/indie bookstore vibe than tattoo parlor.

I’ve had two or three pieces done at Welcome Stranger. Everyone there is kind, courteous, and a blast to talk to. The shop is clean, well organized, and has really good energy - from what I can tell, they don’t take many appointments back to back so there’s not a rushed feeling when you’re getting work done. I was lucky enough to get a spot on one of their flash days - I loved the piece I got and it was a great way to meet more of the artists at an incredibly generous discount. I especially love how the flash day was structured - instead of the chaotic first-come-first-serve walk-in style that I often see on discount days or Friday the 13th, this was very well thought out and made for a super comfortable experience. Welcome Stranger is my go-to in NTX and I can’t wait to book my next piece there.

Amazing experience here! I saw Alex and he was sooo helpful from the beginning. He really listened to what I wanted and gave me helpful advice on my tattoo to get the most out of it over time. So clean, friendly staff, very helpful, and overall great vibes here. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a tattoo! I will 100% be coming back here for my next.

Andy has been doing my tattoos for a while now and he is incredibly talented!! I really love the aesthetic of this shop. It’s very warm and welcoming and that’s super hard to find in a tattoo shop. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is covered in tattoos, has a couple, or is even a first timer! I came in here with my boyfriend and he was nervous about getting his first tattoo, but Andy was so great with explaining the process and making him feel comfortable that the boyfriend ended up becoming less anxious. How about that! All around great place to go for all your tattoo needs :)
