Smilin Rick's Tattoo

I WILL BE BACK. I felt so welcomed as a walk in. Dallas was my artist and I’ll go see him and only him from here on out!! Incredible and so affordable!!! I love my tattoo so much I literally cried lol I’m so so happy!!

Would NOT recommend, had to give 1 star but would prefer to give no stars. Took a design in and the artist Dallas didn't like where I wanted to put the tat. He tried to talk me into making the tattoo much larger than I wanted and on a different part of my body than I wanted. He questioned why I wanted the tat that I wanted....doesn't matter, it's my body and my tat. The design has significant meaning to me but that didn't matter to him. He was worried is reputation would be tarnished. I think his bad attitude tarnishes his reputation. Jordan's attitude wasn't much better and she kept agreeing with Dallas. I ended up going to a different place and that artist didn't question me at all, gave me exactly what I wanted and I think it turned out great (exactly as expected). Horrible service at Smilin Rick's. My friend had used Smilin Rick's in the past and he won't be going back there again. Also note....this was my 13th tattoo, so not my first and I knew what I wanted. Dallas said it had to be large because the lines are too fine/thin. BullS***! Again, my 13th tattoo and plenty of
my other tats have fine lines and they came out great.

Dallas and Ian are awesome.
Dallas did a wonderful black and white tattoo for my husband that was a coverup. He was fun to sit with for 6 hours. Good TV show on in the shop and great conversation. Oh and the tattoo? Even better! Fair price for an incredible piece of work. Realistic nature piece. Ian did a tattoo on me for Halloween. It was a roll the dice situation-and executed badass. Both of these guys are great artists and I’d recommend them in a heartbeat, whether you’re a first timer, or you’ve been around the block a few times.

Ricks used to be amazing but I'm not sure what happened over the years. I tried to get a tattoo recently. A coverup. After back and forth with an artist for TWO months to find a time that works best, we agreed to meet. The tattoo artist was 30 minutes late so I left. If you can't be on time, we're not doing business. I still haven't gotten my deposit back.

This is the third tattoo I've gotten there. All by different artists. Everyone is cool, professional and a good artist. Will be going back to add on.

I love this place! Dallas was awesome.... I gave him the idea and he drew it on me! He also had to draw a similar one on my sister and it was just a little different in all the right places. He's also a great conversationalist! 5 stars. Would recommend.

Brad is the BEST ARTIST IVE EVER HAD and I have 35 total tattoos. The way he does his art is INSANE and UNBELIEVABLE! If you go to smilin ricks REQUEST BRAD! I'm sure the other artist are awesome too though 🙃

I highly recommend Dallas. He has done two of my tattoos. One being over 10 years old. He makes sure you know that the tattoo you're getting is permanent and doesn't condone getting tattoos that you can't tell a story with. While a tad selfish in that regard (because that means you'll tell people where you got the tattoo, and therefore bringing more customers to him), he means well and is an amazing artist. If you have tough skin (literally and figuratively) he is the best choice!! I absolutely adore his ability to make anything you want into a more unique style that no one else has. He will consult with you about the tattoo if you need help figuring out what you want. I love the environment and the body positivity he gives as well!!

I got a beautiful custom piece from Jordan, and not only was the art exactly what I had hoped for, but the shop was clean and she was very friendly and professional.

Took a date here. And tbh the artist who worked on her tattoo did such a great job, he left me looking at my tattoos like they were done by amateurs. Great environment. And amazing work. Highly Recommend.
