The tattoo artists did good. It did not hurt and it did not take long. But the peircer was very rude and unprofessional.

Been to John several times and always leave super happy with his work! He takes the time to make sure you get what you asked for with the best quality. All the guys at the shop make you feel welcome. 100% recommend them!

Probably shouldn’t advertise, “Friday the 13th tattoos until 3 AM” if you’re going to turn people down at 11:30. Probably shouldn’t take from 11:30 until “4 AM” as you say when you barely have people in your studio. Friday the 13th tattoos are supposed to be quick. If you’re allowing people to make a bunch of modifications for more of a cash grab, you’re somewhat defeating the purpose and ruining the event. Especially when you advertise until 3 AM. I’ve been getting Friday the 13th tatts for years- they are supposed to take 10-20 minutes at most with experienced artists. Been to multiple shops on the island and thought we would take a chance tonight only to be very disappointed. Lesson learned, you guys lost business in more than one person tonight.

John at World Famous American Dragon Tattoos was awesome. It's cool that they take walk ins. Decent price considering the tourist location. He even helped me pick a cool design and added some sweet shading. If you're visiting Galveston and want a tattoo go to American Dragon.

When I first got my tattoos from here everyone was cool. Coming back after the pandemic really changed something here, not quite sure what it is but the low-key disrespect is strange. And the one guy who said he hated giving Friday the 13th tattoos was awkward as hell, because why would you even tattoo people with THAT energy? Just don't do it! Besides that, ....there's nothing wrong with the look of the shop, still nice and I have no doubt that they have their good and bad days, but I came back on a terrible day that will make me never come back again. Good luck to you all..watch for the employee that gets too comfortable with his work. I missed Brett and Red ♥️

Do not use this Place. The tattoo I got was stringy and will more than likely fade in a couple of months. I got no offer to come back if it fades. I went back in to talk to the guy to see if he could fix the stringiness and he gave me all kinds of excuses including talking bad about my other tattoos that didn't even have nothing to do with him. They didn't even open on time. The read the owners responses to his bad reviews.

Got my very first tattoo by John yesterday, and I loved it! He did an amazing job and he had A LOT of patience with me. I was a nervous wreck, but he was very professional and reassured me that everything would be ok. John Boy did a flower cluster piece on my thigh and it’s now my favorite tattoo! American dragon is a very well kept clean tattoo place that I will definitely be getting more tattoos at in the future. John boy does amazing tradition tattoos and is very friendly and approachable to his costumers. Can’t wait to come back soon!!
