Cat was great! He made good suggestions, gave us great ideas and advise on the tattoos we wanted. Everyone was super professional, friendly and timely! Cat also gave me great action movie ideas! All in all, a great experience for my first time visiting Houston….I’ll definitely be back for the rising phoenix!!

We came in as a walk-ins, had plenty of art/comics to look at while we waited. Good tunes, too. Worked with artist, Jeremy, to design a cover-up/fix-up for my father-in-law's tattoo. Artist took all our suggestions and gave valuable input, along with any other artists that happened to overhear us. Tattoo came out great and exactly what he wanted. I'll be coming here for any work I need done, for sure.

Called ahead and asked about their piercing service. Lady was extremely nice and helpful; no appointments were necessary, they only used surgical steel and jewelry was included in the price. Was a great deal and looking forward to it. We show up promptly at 2 when they open and ask for piercings and are told she isnt there yet but she may be there soon. We waited for an hour!! No one talked to us after that, no one tried to contact the piercing staff, no one offered any help or assistance and just ignored us. We were polite and quiet and very visible as it was a small house structure. Customers were nicer than the staff. When we left, no one made any comment. Extremely disappointing and a waste of time. Have respect for potential business or it goes to your competitors.

Billy is 🔥! He has re-done my inner arm from a previous tattoo artist, which came out crazy good 👍. Since then has been my go to artist for my whole outer arm. Highly recommend Billy. Very professional, good quality, on time & excellent customer service. 👏

Cassandra is knowledgeable and skilled! I had an emergency stemming from a conch piercing done elsewhere and needed immediate attention to save the piercing. We found The Flying Squid through Google Maps and I’m so grateful. Cassandra understood the problem, educated me about it, carefully removed the impacted jewelry, and replaced it with a better option so that the piercing could heal effectively.

Where do I start!!!!! Took a hour to set up came early still didn’t get started had to buy napkins !!! The layout was good did the line work ! Then it came to the shading !!! I have spot of no color asked him to fix it he said it didn’t need it on the spot I showed so I pulled the pic up again he added the color to that part !! Then I’m looking I see more spots without color ! He got upset didn’t wrap it or anything just said he was done !!!! Mind u I paid 170$ for this tattoo … added white spots that wasn’t even on the picture!!!!
