Best tattoo shop around! I’ve gotten 3 different tattoos from Sawyer and each time he has exceeded my expectations. He really listens to what you want and helps tailor a design for you. His shop is clean and he is very professional. Good pricing also for what a talented artist he is. He and his wife are such nice people. Sawyer replicated and changed the name of another tattoo I have. Got me in quick, fairly priced and did a great job. First time visiting Pops Tattoo Parlor in Pantego TX, when in as a walk-in to inquire about two tattoos, I knew it had to be by appointment only because the tattoo is going to be big. Sawyer was very welcoming and help us out by scheduling an appointment after discussing the art piece. While we were booking the appointment we also decided to get a pre sketch tattoo that he has already made for walk-Ins. We are very happy with our tattoos, I can’t stop looking at mine, I love the fact he also color in a previous tattoo we had, now they look amazingly fresh and I just love the mixer in color for my eye tattoo. I wanted a sunset 🌅 background and that’s exactly what I got. Sawyer is very professional and creative, we left happy with the ideas of our next tattoos and can’t wait to get ink again. I had a great experience with Sawyer. This was my first time at Pop's- heard about him through my friend so I was comfortable with trying him out. First thoughts were that his shop was clean, he was super professional and respectful of my body. What came out of our short time together was a really great tattoo! My friend Bailey and I wanted similar tats because she was moving away and he gave us a great representation of our styles. This tattoo was done in September 2018 but I wanted to wait to give out my review to show pics of how the colors and line work have stayed bold and strong so far. That's super important to me in choosing an artist. My advise is not to go for someone who can't show you belated pics of tattoos- not just pics of tats done right away that are crisp and new. You want to see how each style and color palette will look in a few months to a few years. I grew up in this industry with my older brothers (both artists) and knew exactly what I wanted to see from Sawyer (and what I didn't). My bros have taught me enough to know what to stay away from and know what to expect from an exceptional artist. I don't let just anyone tattoo me. That being said, I would definitely recommend Sawyer to anyone looking to get a great tattoo that will last a long time! He didn't try to get me into any weird color palettes, which was refreshing. He was super respectful of my body, talked about his fam and was really open about what he could/would not do. I appreciate that kind of openness and honesty with my artist and I'm sure you will too. Overall, 4 stars because there was a slight mix-up with payment at the end. But I always tip my artists so it worked out. I'll definitely be back to get another tattoo from Sawyer in the near future.

I just got my first 2 tattoos here yesterday and it was a great experience! super friendly and clean environment. I love my tattoo so much! Sawyer was super gentle and calming and did an amazing job!

I received my first tat from Sawyer on Friday! Not only is he extremely friendly and knowledgeable, he is THE BEST artist that I have seen! You can tell that he is a family man, honors God and loves his work. He gave me some of his business cards to pass out and man have i passed out A LOT! I may need to stop by and get some more! I have gotten soooo many compliments on my tat! Thanks again Sawyer! You ARE doing my next piece man!

Pop's Tattoos Shop isn't just a shop it's an environment. Sawyer the Owner/Artist is a great all around guy. He's also creative and able to take minimal or basic images and then creates an original piece. So far I've had both my forearms done and am extremely pleased and proud of my new ink. I won't go anywhere else for my tattoos.

Sawyer did an amazing job! He explained some terms to me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted (my first tattoo). He was super chill. The shop was nice and clean and so was the work area. He took his time in creating the design I wanted and I am very pleased with the results. Would definitely recommend him and his shop!
