San Marcos Tattoo Emporium

Me and two friends walked in for tattoos. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Woff took care of us. The design he came up with was exactly what we were hoping for. The service was amazing and we loved the quality of the tattoos. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in the San Marcos area.

I had a tattoo from an artist named Felipe. Through the the past few years I was unhappy. I called up San Marcos tattoo emporium and asked up changing left chest piece to better align with my vision. Well Felipe's apprentice answered the phone and convinced me to come in too talk with Felipe again. So I came in and Felipe went above and beyond. He would not take a dime from me until I was happy. In the end my vision for my left side has been fulfilled and it was all because of Felipe. He even did a second custom piece on my wife. Then you Felipe and Tori. Since Tori had convinced me I had her fix an old tattoo and she is definitely and up and coming talent in her industry. I love you guys!! So does my wife!!

I've been back to see Dave for my piercings three times now, and will continue to only see him from now on. The shop itself is always clean, and everyone working there is always welcoming. Dave makes the whole process easy and quick, while not skipping on being sanitary and explaining aftercare in full detail. I will always recommend this place and Dave personally!

I had my first tattoo done by Felipe and it was a very enjoyable experience. He is a very good, creative artist and his idea of what I wanted was spot on!

Went in for a single ear piercing. They do walk-ins but call ahead to see if they're busy before going in, I did and had 0 wait. Dave is both professional and clean and obviously takes pride in his work. Will be going back in two weeks for a checkup, in the meantime I'll be following the aftercare procedure Dave told me. Highly recommend coming here for any sort of piercing you may want.

I had a pair of small tattoos done by Josh and my septum pierced by Kaley; both experiences exceeded any expectations I had going in.
The shop is super clean, the prices on services and jewelry are more than fair, and everyone there is friendly and accommodating.
I am fortunate enough to have a high pain tolerance but honestly neither service was painful at all! I will absolutely be going back and recommending them to anyone I know.

Got my daith pierced yesterday 03/01/2020 and had an amazing time. They were a little busy but not to bad. Dave took great care of me. He was very quick with the piercing and talked me through it all. Also once we were done he let us see him properly dispose of the needle used on me. I will definitely be coming back here for the rest of my piercings. Very friendly staff and love the setting and decor in the building.

The best piercing and tattoo experiences around! Everyone is so cool and chill. The atmosphere is an added bonus as well. Very clean and skilled piercers and artists. Nostril piercing barely hurt and my tattoo was done (and done well!) in less than 30 minutes. Always recommend this place to my friends.

Admittedly, I have never been inside a tattoo/piercing shop before but I knew that I wanted to take my daughter to a professional to get her ears pierced (instead of having a minimally trained person with a piercing gun to do the job). I read several great reviews of San Marcos Tattoo Emporium and decided to take my daughter there. I was so pleased with the entire experience! Kaley was the piercer and she was so friendly and professional, clearly explaining every step of the process to help keep my daughter from being nervous. She was so sweet! I really like that they ask customers to come back for a check up in a couple of weeks - that shows how much they really care about the customer and the quality of their work.

Pros - 1) they do pierce children’s ears (but the child has to be able to ask for the procedure themselves); 2) SUPER clean!; 3) friendly, caring, welcoming, professional staff; 4) excellent, quality work; 5) walk-ins welcome

Cons - nothing really, except that there are a few things in the lobby that you might not want a child to see (curse words, some nudity in artwork), but that really didn’t bother me because it is a typically adult place of business.

Phrank did such a great job. I didn't know what I wanted so I came to him with the amount of money I had and the colors I liked. Phrank drew up an amazing piece. People always stop me and ask where I got it done because "it looks so sharp and clean." Not only does he do a great job on his art work but, I had a lot of fun sitting for him!
