San Marcos Tattoo Emporium

This spot was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! One of the few tattoo and piercing parlors open! The inside was amazing! Art work, real movie props, and crazy fan decor everywhere! Met the owner was super cool and gave e a personal your of the emporium! Will come back again!

John Dame has done an incredible job on my latest three tattoos. His color is so vibrant and long lasting and they all healed up so incredibly fast. He is the nicest guy and makes you feel so comfortable when you are getting a piece done. He is the owner so he makes sure that everything runs smoothly. He has a really unique eye and is always aiming to please to perfection. As a student of Texas State, I will continue to go there for my tattoos because I can trust them to do a good job without any worry whatsoever. I definitely recommend John, but any of the guys are amazing artists and I trust them as well. If you're in the area and looking for a good tattoo, come here. They are very well priced and very friendly, more so than my experience with classic down the street. I will without a doubt come back here and get more work done. Always very pleased when I come in.

Overpriced nose ring set at $50 I’ve had this piercing for 6+ months now and have had trouble with the healing process ever since! Not sure if he pierced it at an angle but was in a rush to go get tacos.

I was really nervous because i’ve never been here before but I had an amazing experience! I had tried atomic in austin and they were gonna try charging my $250, so I tried SM tattoo emporium and they did an AMAZING job for $160. They make sure it’s exactly what you want!

Had a great experience! Went in to get some piercings done and Dave really took care of me. Painless and fast. The shop is clean and Dave opened everything with me in the room and he disposed of the needles before we left. Will be coming back for more.

Took my 12 yo daughter in to get her ears pierced. They were previously pierced when she was younger (another common place for young girls to go, not a piercing shop) but the were not lined up and she had an issue with infection.

Dave got our paperwork together and we were in the room soon. He explained everything to us and calmed my daughter. She freaks out for shots, blood draw, etc. She didn’t even flinch when he pierced her ear. The other ear was done quickly and then we went over the care and cleaning instructions. “Don’t touch!”
Great experience, super clean and sanitary, and I highly recommend Dave.

First time visiting this shop..I can say that the service was great and Felipe (tattoo artist) was able to do a small tattoo on a walk in and he did a great job. His lines are perfectly straight. I have to get it touched up so I don't want to post pics yet...its basically an ekg line with a heart on the beginning and it represents Love, Hope, and faith...future pics coming..

Cool guys makes you feel like your making a friend instead of getting a piercing! Makes sure to explain the cleaning and healing process well each time I visit. Over all an awesome experience highly recommended 🙌🏾

Complete over charge for mediocre work, paid $50 for a basic nose piercing. Called with a question and the guy told me I could come in a hour so I asked what time they closed and he said 8. When I went in a hour later at 6 they were closed. Wasted my time when all he had to say is they would be closing earlier that day.

Felipe (the owner) was very kind, talented, and just great energy overall. I got my first tattoo there today and I loved the experience, much more than I expected. Not to mention the price was perfect and he really is a great artist. Infinite stars on this place, highly recommended!
