Radchad's Ancient Art Tattoo Blacksburg

I debated on leaving this review for awhile because I didn't want to tarnish a good tattoo shop with one bad review for one particular employee. I went to this shop after debating back and forth for months about a tattoo that had a saying that meant a lot to be but I had a hard time committing to getting it. I finally decided to goafter my friend got a tattoo there and had an amazing experience. I went in and ended up having to wait an hour because they never called to tell me it was my turn. I got Andrew, he was cool at first but when it came to lifting up my bralette a little bit he got weird and started making awkward comments. He then changed the fount that I SPECIFICALLY asked for and wrote it in SHARPIE. While I was getting my tattoo done the awkward comments didn't stop. Then after I got home I realized he put the tattoo up way too high and it is actually on half of my breast and it makes me so angry every time I look at it because the placement is so bad its embarrassing ( and its not even in the fount that I asked for). I actually have considered getting covered up I hate it so much. All of the other artist there are amazing and polite , just don't get Andrew.

Absolutely would not recommend this place for a piercing. For starters, they charge an outrageous price to put a cheap earring in your ear that causes so many issues. They knew I had no other piercings with them and failed to give me any information regarding after treatment. My friend that was with me had to tell me what to do. Again, nothing but issues with the piercing from this place. I had been trying to get them to help me out on multiple occasions by visiting the store and was totally dismissed. Went somewhere else to replace the earring. That place told me how horrible of a job the piercing place (this place) had done. A few months went by and still had issues, tried to get this place to help me again- nope. Went somewhere else today and they told me the piercing done by a dude at this place was totally crooked and butchered. I ended up having to pay someone else to help me take out the earring (because no one at this place would give me the time of day and were so rude). Luckily someone was able to actually provide information and be a genuine, friendly person. Absolute disgraceful place. Drive to Christiansburg- save the money AND the issues/ infections.

My girlfriends and I walked in with hopes of getting piercings and firstly we were NOT greeted kindly. The man at the front desk didn't even make eye contact with us and was not very proactive at all about helping us or answering our questions. He was rude and pretentious and totally turned us off to the whole place. We were literally appalled by the way he talked to us. Never go here, go up the street to Rendezvous - much friendlier and a really good family vibe.

Chad is phenomenal! He's professional and comforting, I felt right at home. I loved that he isnt heavy handed at all AND was a great listenener. I'm really happy with the work; it came out exactly how i imagined it! Super clean lines and his added experience with shading gave it a more realistic look. Very knowledgeable; loves and takes pride in his work. Uses only the best quality products.

Chad is killer! Does the best work I’ve had done. Absolutely recommend and will be back to rad Chad!

Well my tattoo came out great and the guy that did it was super nice. I was told to come back within three months and I could have a free touch up. I also paid $100 for it even though it was small because it is on my foot. Well, I go in two months later and I need a touch up because if scabbed in one tiny place and is faded. I ask to make an appointment and they tell me sorry, my artist was a guest and from PA so I’d have to go to PA to get my free touch up. I was so upset and the guy on the phone was just plain rude about it. I was never told my artist was a guest artist and I could only have my free touch up done by going to PA until it was too late. I would have just waiting for a local artist if that was the case! Anyway, don’t recommend going there, they lie and have awful customer service.

Very professional and reasonably priced shop. Chad is a very talented artist that gave me a piece even better than I envisioned

Wonderful!!! Zack did a great job. As usual I was nervous but he was wonderful!!! I've got so many more I want him to do!!! If your looking to have a tattoo done go here!!!

Fantastic artist, did an awesome job. Wouldn’t go anywhere else in blacksburg. Down to earth guy who deserves all the respect in the world for his craft.

My mom and I went to Ancient Art tattoo for the first time and we will be back. Clean facility, awesome staff, and extremely professional. Derrick tattooed me and it was a great experience. Will definitely have him tattoo me again!
