Very clean shop with friendly staff. Great experience with Nick getting my first tattoo. Very patient and explained everything really well. I felt like he did a wonderful job with my tattoo and explaining my aftercare. He gave me his contact information to follow up with questions after I left, and was very quick to respond to my questions after I had left. I'll be going back for more tattoos soon

Been in Lucky Penny several times over the last few months, Nick takes all of my strange tattoo ideas and turns them into masterpieces on my skin, for 5 years I only had two tattoos on my arm, but ever since I met up with Nick, we’ve been filling in blank spaces and I’m only 3 sessions away from filling up the entire sleeve. From the work I’ve seen come in and out of Lucky Penny in my time there, everyone there is a great artist, but Nick Austin has been my go-to. If you’re looking for great ink at great prices, make an appointment with Lucky Penny, and don’t look back at any of the other tattoo shops in Lynchburg.

worth every penny… no pun intended. I worked with David some years back and when I got the idea to do my sleeve, I already knew this was where I would be going. Attention to detail was a must as it was a memorial for my recently passed pitbull Loki. The likeness was spot on And looks exactly like my baby. I could not be happier. Cannot wait to get back in the chair for my 2nd sitting.

Just got my very first tattoo! Nick hit it out of the park! I have a beautiful tattoo! I did it for my son. I know he's looking down saying "YES, MOM". Nick Austin is phenomenal. If you want a great tattoo and don't go to Lucky Penny, you might as well go home! You nailed it Nick❤

Bad experience. I emailed 2 weeks out with picture and details of the tattoo I wanted in honor of my daughter. I was told no problem they could do it and just to walk in. I got there right at opening. I came in and all the artist gathered around to tell me they couldn’t do the tattoo the way I wanted and that although I planned ahead they couldn’t do it that day. They also made me feel like my tattoo was stupid. I went to Dreamwalker tattoo walk in and now I have gotten 3 tattoos from them. I do not recommend you wasting your time here. Go to dreamwalker and ask for Zach.

I really love the work that David Penny did on me, he is a phenomenal artist! He was really nice to my son, who had a lot of questions. But I have tried several times to get in touch with the shop to make another appointment, I also asked them a question about my piece and I never got a response. I messaged them several times, I feel like I am being brushed off. I hope that isn't the case.
