I took an idea in and talked to Cat, who helped me design a custom piece of art that is truly a beauty! Her imagination, artistic skill, technique and professionalism combined to make this the best tattoo experience of my life.
I have multiple other pieces, but this one is the most beautiful.

My daughter and I are devoted customers of Cat. Terrific experienced artist, creative, professional, and just on a different (higher) level. Excellent customer service and spotless rooms and equipment. There's Dark Horse and then there is everywhere else. Top notch, highly recommended!

Although I've never had anything done at this shop, I received fabulous customer service and advice from Steve over phone. I called with concerns about a piercing I had done elsewhere, and although I was not a customer, Steve answered all my questions thoughtfully and was incredibly helpful. I was referred to another piercing shop closer to my home which was convenient. Though I can't say for tattoos, I would definitely recommend Dark Horse to anyone looking for a piercing as the employees clearly know what they are talking about and give excellent customer service. I will return to this shop for other piercings and jewelry.

Just added on to a preexisting tattoo, and am in love with outcome. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Cat was extremely receptive to my vision, and made sure I was happy with the amount of shading before I left. She even fixed one of the words on the preexisting tattoo!

I received a septum piercing here, and it was done very professionally.The studio is extremely clean. Steve answered any and all questions I had during my stay, and was thorough in explaining cleaning and care for my piercing. I certainly will return for any other work I have in mind.

Every tattoo I have is from Dark Horse, I simply don't have the words to describe how incredible and amazing everyone is there.

I have two pieces from Jon, who's linework is precision perfect and who could not be a better artist to get your first tattoo from; he's friendly, funny, sweet, does a great job of easing any anxietys, and he's damn good at what he does.

Cat is a magical human being; I had my full back Phoenix tattoo that I've been planning for ten years done by her over the course of six months, and it's everything I could have dreamed and more. She truly has an incredible talent and magnificent vision; she can take a vague mental outline that you have for a piece and turn it into a beauty beyond the limits of this world, seriously. Go in for a consultation, sit down and talk with her about your ideas, and she'll do everything in her power to give you the best tattoo she possibly can. She gives 110% every time, and I felt no reservations whatsoever in entrusting my 10 year long dream to her.

Steve is fantastic, I mean truly a genuinely caring and funny guy; time spent around Steve is never a dull moment and he's obviously very passionate about what he does. My understanding is he is longer piercing and has instead taken over managerial duties, but he will still gladly lend his expertise to answer any questions or concerns you have about anything. My first session with Cat to do my back piece, as well as my first time ever meeting Steve, I asked him about a nipple piercing that had been rebelling on and off for a few years at that point; he calmly, effectively, and informatively explained what what happening to it and what needed to be done to remedy it, all while maintaining a straight face as I'm standing there awkwardly with my breast out because it didn't occur to me yet that I could put it away. Steve is a wonderful guy, and every passing day you spend without getting to meet him is a day unfulfilled.

Then there was Laura. She was the one working the front desk every time I went in; she's not working there anymore as she's moved on to bigger and better adventures, but I'll mention her here in the hopes that maybe she'll see this. Laura was my life force, she was everything to me; I'm naturally an extremely anxious person, and Laura knew that and did everything she could, whenever she could, to make me feel comfortable. In the six months I spent working with Cat, a fair few personal stresses always seemed to pop up on tattoo day, and Laura was never anything other than supportive, kind, and just perfect in general. She made me feel at home, and that's a rare feeling when you're as anxious as I am. So Laura if you're reading this, thank you so much for everything; you're awesome.

Everyone I've encountered here has been an absolute joy to get to know, and the work I've had done here is nothing short of miraculous magic. I'm sure I'll be back there for my next project before too long, but in the meantime I hope this lengthy review is enough to sway at least one persons mind into going there over somewhere else, because I can promise you won't regret it!
